dontgobrassit Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Here's my 23 Ford made mostly from Brass. The only part that's plastic is the body. If you look closely, you can see the shifting and clutch linkage and brakes. It also has working U joints. Here are many of the hand-made brass parts that went into the model. If you look closely, you'll see the detailed brake shoes and springs. Here's a picture of the working suspension and steering. If you look closely, you'll see the thermometer on top of the radiator. I hope you enjoy looking at these pictures as much as I did making it.
ismaelg Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Great craftsmanship. Any tips on how to turn brass in the lathe? I've done aluminum for a while but my first attempt at brass was not exactly the best. Thanks,
ScrappyJ Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 You've got skills! That is some serious craftsmanship!

Other than that, just try different things to see what works best for you. I also polish the parts on the lathe when I can. Good luck,
