Darren B Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I have always wanted to model this jeep rat rod, well today I got the reissued mpc jeep and will give it a go, may not be exactly like this one, depending on my scratch building skills but will see what happens......
zaina Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Can't wait to see this one. I've thought about building it too but probably will never get to it.
crazyrichard Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 well thats one i have been wanting to build myself !! so i'm going to like this build ..i did some research and found more jeeps like this (didnt save the pics) the one you whowed is the one you find most pics of ..and well doent this just look bad ass !! plus you can really anoy the purists hahahaha
spotarama Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 (edited) this model was released a while ago as a 2'in'1 the 'Hogans Heroes' jeep and beach resort vehicle the Hogans Heroes thing never made sense to me as Hogan and the boys only ever drove 'requisitioned' german vehicles from the prisoner run motor workshops. however i bought it and built it like this..... it got roll bars, extra armour plate, a 50 cal M/G, chains, stowage and a chewed up blown out spare tyre attached to the hood. the red light under the M/G is infra-red, obviously I'm no expert on what a real jeep came with but it seems well detailed with full engine, transfer cases , diffs etc Edited February 16, 2014 by spotarama

ALmost done too:) Here are some links I've complied for reference: http://www.fourwheeler.com/project-vehicles/154-1103-atypical-rod-1945-jeep-cj2a/ and the 1:1 build at the bottom in the gallery section: http://randyellisdesign.com/ Good luck!
