sflam123 Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Hey all! I'm going to build a model of the 72-73 Cecil Lankford Brand X Mustang Funny Car from the Connie Kalitta kit. I've found some pictures of the car on various sites, and I'm trying to determine the color of the car. In some of the pictures, it looks red, in others orange. Anybody have any insight as to what is the correct color? Thanks for the input!! Steve
AZ Boy Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 It's red, Steve. I saw that car run back in the day.
F/CNUT Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Hi Here is the 1/16 scale mustang I did awhile back. I used red laquer.
sflam123 Posted February 18, 2014 Author Posted February 18, 2014 Thanks gentlemen!! Am I looking at an Italian Red or just a standard red? Steve
stangforever1 Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Hey Steve, I assume you bought the decal from me. I think I listed the wrong kit to use with the decal. I should have listed the Revell Blue Max kit to be used instead of the MPC Mustang kit. I will check and see if I made a version for the MPC kit and let you know. Thanks Chuck
sflam123 Posted February 18, 2014 Author Posted February 18, 2014 Yes Chuck I did buy the decals from you. It's okay, I have an extra Revell Blue Max kit that I can use too. Man, I appreciate you letting me know!! Do you have anything interesting for the MPC Mustang kit since I now have an extra one of those?
stangforever1 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Hi Steve, Yes, I have the Tom & Jerry, Tenn. Bo-Weevil and the Trader Ray decals for the MPC kit. I will post pics of them tomorrow if you need to see what they look like. I would now but I am at work. Later
