I feel silly about this. I've been going to this car show for 15 years. I currently live 2 BLOCKS AWAY from the Minnesota State Fairgrounds, but I did not realize that the wonderful Back to the '50s car show had a model car contest (I never ventured into that building!). Anyway, I plan to attend and enter some models.

It has been going on for quite a few years. Try joining a local model car club. There are two! Model Car Club of Minnesota and RPM.

I intend to join a club, but I have two little kids at home, and it is really hard for me to find time on the weekends to get out by myself.

St. Paul is a bit of a hike for me and I would like to go to the NNL North one of these days. I was at the NSRA event back in '85 with a buddy of mine and we enjoyed the show immensely and we entered the model car contest as well. I think they had 'bout 8 or 9,000 cars there, and after awhile one didn't know what they saw and what they didn't. It was a great time!
