Ladies and gentlemen. I just received a test shot of a new item coming from Stevens International in 2008.

A friend of mine at Stevens just sent this stuff to me. The quality of this stuff is excellent.!!!

First the old AMT Blueprinter engines, ALL IN CHROME.

The Chrysler 392

The Pontiac 421

The Corvair 145

The Chevy 283

Next comes the old 1927 Model T. And it comes with the side curtains and police stuff.

Last is the old AMT Drag T body

Looks like it might work with my Bantam Blast kit.....

I don't recognize the co. Stevens International. Could you tell me who they are ? And by the way I've visited your site and I think I spotted an old Revell all chrome Harley chopper from, maybe the mid sixties, sure would be neat to have them available again. New old stuff is always nice to see back in production, I've been looking for a T tub,26-27 Ford for awhile, the old AMT is better than the Revell T on the Lil John chassis, in my opinion. A responce would be greatly appreciated.

Stevens Int'l is the importer of the Trumpeter kits,

talked to rep at IPMS convention, they seemed iffy on new real kits, but

the reissued are a good thing for the hobby!

If those Steven Intl engine kits are the old AMT Parts Paks, these motors are the best!!! Even chromed, they are nothing short of marvelous. I know that they chromed the whole tree to make sure those regularly chromed pieces would be chromed, and we can all remove chrome from those other parts. For years in the sixties, I equipped all of my custom cars with these motors. They practically build themselves, are incredibly ripe for detail, have great proportions, and have a lot of detail in themselves. I plan to buy a few. The 392 Hemi is worth eating the Corvair motor, but think of the corvair motor powering a radical street rod.

The AMT 27 T touring car has been around believe it or not, since the sixties. It does require a dropped axle from the parts box, and a nice 283 Chev would be killer to make this one beautiful street rod. I still have a few in the closet from the early days and two from a recent swap meet purchase. I have plans, now all I got to do is get to them.

i snagged some Revell Parts Pac engines when a local hobby shop sold out, i wasn't really very happy with them due to difficulty i getting the parts to fit together well. i never had an opportunity to use AMT's versions, and look forward to getting a couple of each! i, for one, don't mind the fully chromed parts (belts aside!) because chromed engines were very popular in 50's and '60's show cars. (many show cars had "shell" engines; no working parts inside at all!)
