FuelishSpectator Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 (edited) Hey Now... I just spent some time and open up the package from http://www.alteredstatesmodels.com/ "The Original Top Fuel Hydro..." The casting is very well defined with minimal flash. As you look at the photos I did no sanding or cutting to bring the 2 half's together only set the canopy on top with the dog house... So this is now going to be numeral UNO on my bench.. Nov 1st 2008 is dead-line for the Arizona NNL Hydro Competition. Will keep you guys up up-dated on the progress... Chuck Meir of http://www.alteredstatesmodels.com/ assured me that the canopy windscreen and the w-drive unit is going to be shipped out as soon as it is finish with the new molds for casting... FuelishSpectator Posted December 31, 2007 Author Posted December 31, 2007 Hey Now.... I just got the 1st step and massage all the parts that pertains to the hull... Lightly sanded the parts to fit... ("I Stress very Lightly") As you all know Resin Material cuts real quick when sanded so use a finer nail file or a used and abused nail file as I did. I had to file all the flashing and made sure everything fit up correctly secure parts in place bye using masking tape. I still need to address the canopy glass frame because its not a clear area from the casting. Also please excused the dust bunnys inside the lens I need to take camera into the shop for a rigorious cleaning... Fuelish December 30th 2007.................................
