This may not be news to some, but it was to me! I picked up some Scotch "Artist Tape for Curves" at my local craft store, works great for masking off curves. It is 1/8th inch (3.1 mm) wide, stretches around curves (within reason) without wrinkling or pulling up and leaves a clean line. I've been using the yellow Tamiya tape and it works great, but this stuff beats it on curves.

Great tip, but I can beat that. Micron tape by Aizu Project is a similar tape compound to Tamiya and comes in widths as narrow as 0.4MM!!!

Look at HLJ.com and other Japanese online hobby stores.

Thanks for the tip, I'll check out sources. I'm having a ball discovering all the "new" (to me, anyway) stuff that's available. Back in the day I had to carve my own masking tape out of wood, after walking three miles in the snow to get a knife ... B)
