philo426 Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 I recently traded for a MPC Dukes of Hazzard Charger and wondered if its chassis would fit an old MPC '69 Daytona gluebomb body I had.Low and behold it fit perfectly and the charger hood fit as well.I had used the body as a paint test mule and decided to strip it down.Westly's Bleech White did not work as it does on my enamel glue bombs so i decided to try the alcohol I use to thin the Tamiya paint with. I applied it to a coarse terry rag and rubbed it onto the body.Removed the paint with a little elbow grease and did not damage the plastic.I used clear pack tape to remove the K&K Insurance decals and with a little body work should be ready for primer and paint soon.An effective ,inexpensive Tamiya Acrylic paint stripper!
philo426 Posted June 25, 2014 Author Posted June 25, 2014 Masked and painted the White R/T stripe.Unfortunately,it is not perfect.I will get my fine liner brush and get as close as I can.
