Steve H. Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I needed to take a break from the 32 project (still worked on it, just not as intensely!) so I drug this 60 Buick out of the stash last Friday night. After a few minutes of rummaging around Steve's Discount tire and wheel store, I had a set that looked right for it (Monogram 58 T-bird tires/Revell 49 Merc steelies) Did some quick sanding clean up and shot it with Dupli Metal Specks Burnt Copper/Tamiya clear orange. I have one crazed spot on the hood, so I may use some flame decals to cover it. The interior is Tamiya wood deck tan. Only needed to fix one trim area... And strengthen the windshield frame. I cut a shallow groove and laid in a fine wire, superglued in. All in all, Its been a fun diversion... But next comes the 4 day marathon BMF! Enjoy... Comments always welcome!
Robert81 Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 (edited) Looks like a sweet cruiser. Is it a kit or resin? The white-walls and chrome steelies really set off the paint. Edited January 8, 2008 by Robert81
FordRodnKustom Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Great look. The color, stance and wheel choice work perfectly!
Steve H. Posted January 8, 2008 Author Posted January 8, 2008 Looks like a sweet cruiser. Is it a kit or resin? The white-walls and chrome steelies really set off the paint. Annual Kit issued in 1960. Its curbside, but they're fun to build.
Raul_Perez Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 That's looking good, Steve!! Once you add a couple pounds of BMF it'll really look sharp!!
