I seen some fender vents for the 70-81 Trans Ams once online but dont remember where I seen them. Been trying to locate them again for a project..any idea on where I might be able to find some?

How many sets would you like? This is probably one of two models I actually finished since getting back into the hobby in 05. These were in an original 76 Firebird kit I think. I found them in my old parts box from when I was a kid. I cast them for this and another yet unfinished TA Roadster project I sent to Ken Boyer to add to the Boyer Files. I could do them in clear if you want or just cast in the off white resin I use. I do have some transparent white and black automotive paint too.

I entered this car, my only entry ever in a club meeting for customs. I actually won the award. I think they felt sorry for me! :P Raoul Coulombe did ask about the spoiler being put on backwards. I was too dumb to know. It was the best way to get it to fit! It was a pain in the butt to place and glue on. This is some color of blue nail polish air brushed on and rub down tire decals. Once the nail polish cured, I wet sanded it and just polished it out with the Bare Metal Foil plastic polish. It was the best plastic polish I have ever used and of course, they no longer make it. I'm actually really happy with how the car turned out. Hopefully the mold won't be too hard to locate in my room. It's a darn shame GM never offered this in a convertible version but I have seen some photos of customs done. I used a 57 Chevy convertible boot. I have that mold around here somewhere.

I see the back tire is not on right in the overhead shot. I think Kenny Rogers used to sing a song that went "You picked a fine time to leave, me loose wheel"

A couple sets would be nice...in case of mistakes lol. I am trying to replicate my old 1:1 76 T/A. I bought 2 of the 76 Formula kits, and planned on swapping the front end out on a 77/78 T/A kit, but don't really want the t-tops or the headache of filling them in since my car was a hardtop. So figure I can just swap out the hood, shaker and wheel spoilers from the 77 kit I bought. Only thing keeping it from being a T/A is the fender vents.

I found three sets and one clear one that I made a few years ago playing with clear resin and transparent paint colors. I think I have a small padded envelope. Postage can't be that much. Pm your address and I will send them to you. I looked through my stash of kits and found my mint 76 Firebird MPC kit number 1-7615 and found them in the kit. It does suck that there are only spats for the back fenders. I think it's weird that there are none in the kit for the front.
