Out at the grocery store and spotted a sweet '55 and really nice jeep pickup. When I came out of the store two more sweet rides were parking next to the '55.

Looks like the start of a car show.

That was my thought until I asked the guys. They were just out for a cruise and stopped for bite to eat.

Birds of a feather flock together as they used to say.

On Friday evening I saw a pickup towing a long sloped flatbed trailer with 3 minty looking mid 80s Land Cruisers (FJ60s) on it.  Also saw a sharp red '65 Chevelle 2dr ht.

I wonder if the two cop cars in the background are there for the chance of issuing citations to that wild Maverick when it leaves the lot?  ?   ?

Having ordered those over the years, that is National Forestry Service Green. Special order colour for customers with a fleet code with GM, Ram, or Ford. No extra charge, just check the box when ordering. Typically on GM trucks, it was only available on the most basic of trim levels. Either the WT (work truck) trim as you pictured, and in later years, the Chev Base and LS trim, and GMC base and SL trims. As they were work trim levels, you almost never see these trucks with alloy wheels, carpet, power windows/mirrors/locks, CD players, etc. I'm actually kind of surprised that truck pictured has chrome bumpers.

I'd drive that truck all day long. I like the base models, and I LOVE what I call crayon colours on vehicles.

Thanks for the reply! I just dug out one my original AMT 92-ish Chevy trucks and I'm thinking of doing a build. I bought a bunch of them back in the day when the Kaybee toys was doing a clearance and still have a couple around. I'm going to try to order a can of this paint for it. I'm picturing it as a retired NFS truck, lowered and used as a shop truck.

1973 Pontiac Grand Ville coupe. Looked to be all original. Talked to the owner a bit, he had it since 1976. Was on his weekly mini-golf date with his wife. Dark brown metallic with a beige-ish vinyl top. Pretty nice looking car.

Finally had a client lower his truck instead of lift it!

2024 F150 STX

3/5 lowering kit

22" wheels

Borla exhaust

blacked out tail lights and window tint.

Oh, and the Ford / Roush supercharger kit...a little over 700hp.

The sidesteps are coming off today.

What's that? Oh nothing...just a $300k Porsche GT2 RS parked on the side of the road.

To be fair, we know this guy as we supply his company all of their trucks. They were paving their yard today, so all staff were parked on the street.

I passed a Cybertruck going in the opposite direction. It didn't look as big as I thought it would be based on the pictures I've seen, but it was every bit as ugly as it looks in pictures.

Saw a Cybertruck today and they are very ugly. Thought about grabbing my phone to take a pic but I just sat there stunned watching it drive by.

Today I was out back feeding the Squirrels and chipmunk when I heard the sounds of a racecar starting up, up the street. I new immediately who it had to be so I jumped in the car and low and behold there she sat, loud with ground shaking revs. I went to high school with the guy and It's one of two of his Camaro drag strip cars. He also has a very nice '69 AMC AMX with 50 some thousand miles on the odometer. He's ready to sell the camaro in the photos. 500 plus HP. Asking $ 20,000. negotiable. If only it was street ready, what fun that would be.

At the same intersection at almost the same time.:  BMW i8 and an i3.

I went to the European Car Show at Stanley Park this afternoon, and I spotted this on the way there.

Lambo.jpg.766f6f37b4cc47d929435f737eda6b15.jpg

Spotted in the parking lot.  You don't see many 49-50 Lincolns, let alone customized ones.

I'll post pics of the show itself once I've gone through the pics and trimmed them to a more manageable since.

Today I saw:
Dark blue Lamborghini Urus
Several Tesla trucks
A few waymo driverless vehicles, with all their whirring stuff going.
Just a typical day in West LA/Santa Monica

Looks like a '50's DeSoto grill which was a common treatment on custom Mercury's at one time.

On the freeway coming home from work, I saw a long line of pick up trucks with Custom Chevy Low Riders on trailers. I couldn't get pictures and my exit came before I could check them all out, but the few I saw were amazing.

Don’t know what this is. It was in a hanger at a local airfield. Early Formula Junior maybe?
