I have had the great pleasure of meeting B-17 Sentimental Journey in person several times and B-17 909 (R.I.P.) once during air shows in my area.  I am not familiar with B-17 Texas Rangers, I don't think she has ever made it out here. I have had an inside tour of Sentimental Journey and also B-29 Fifi. At 5'9" both planes were definitely cramped inside to walk around inside. My spouse laughs at me for the time I spend on YouTube watching and listening to anything with four Wright Cyclones starting up and taking off, but it it is an amazing sound experience.

I may have responded before>. I took the flight on Nine-O-Nine about ten years ago.  I have a bunch of pictures and videos of the flight on my old PC but found this one on my IPAD that I took at the airport in Maryland.  RIP to the the souls that were lost in the accident in 2019.

I have direct deposit for my paycheck and after checking my balance in my bank account, I made more money than I thought from the OT that I worked last week. Some of that will be used to continue to feed my styrene addiction at the Classic Plastic model contest on Sunday in Lawrence Mass as I check with the vendors for parts for a couple of rebuilders and the ever elusive MPC 1974 Chevy Caprice annual.

Dug out and cleaned up my leather coat that I probably haven’t worn in 15 years, hadn’t been able to wear it in 10 years if I wanted to and recently found it fits again too. Think if came back pretty good after a couple hours working saddle soap into it and it smells like leather again too!IMG_7303.thumb.jpeg.5eac643219ffe45dfdf8cf54960ac076.jpegIMG_7304.thumb.jpeg.0ab0b175a15babb3be38ba19dd5f8d4a.jpegIMG_7305.thumb.jpeg.192224c98ebbba60c1c8c901a79fca2b.jpegIMG_7306.thumb.jpeg.69a5606a51fddc758d451616689ec4a3.jpeg

Good looking jacket. I have a brown one in a similar cut, pretty weathered since I got it at Wilson's in 1995. I need to give it some TLC.   :D

Was probably made at the same time mine was then, I bought this one at the Wilson’s at the Fox Valley Mall in early ‘96!  I just used some store brand saddle soap from Farm and Fleet and soft cloths from Dollar Tree that I bought Saturday.

I also got to thinking about this too, I was 19 years old when I bought it in 1996, just 6 months after I graduated from high school………this coat is now 9 years older than I was when I bought it!

You definitely had a good day. Those are great looking builds, I especially like the weathering on the taxi. Is that paint or some type of powder? Looks really good.

I airbrushed a little flat brown and gray around the arches for some grime on that one - plus it got a couple of heavily-diluted washes of black and brown acrylic over the whole body to add some more depth.

This is only the Revell snap kit so there’s not a bunch of detail to it, but I did a short WIP thread:

First snowfall of the season overnight.

I'm one of those weirdos that likes winter.

It's only an inch or so, and the temps today will be warm enough that it will all be melted later today, but it's a start.

Glad I put up the Christmas lights on Saturday when it was warm! Will turn them on around the end of November.

I'm usually over there with an irk so I decided to come here with todays perk! I knowingly bought a model kit with a really messed up box from ebay. I wasn't sure if it was fixable but the contents were all fine. I dismantled the box and took the old steam iron to it. After it was as flat as it would get I glued it back to its original shape. ?

Never heard of doing such a thing but you saved it!

Yeah.. Who knew that a clothes iron would come in handy for model kits? I've bought quite a few kits this way. What's in the box is what's the most important. But on some kits I want the box in good condition also due to the box art. This kit was not a desirable kit for its box art. I bought a Here comes the judge T-bird model kit that was complete but the box was crushed badly. Its not perfect but it does hold the contents as it was intended to. I still want to replace that box with a better example.

This may be the best box save ever! I've done several of mine, but never to this extent.

Apologies Mike, and everyone else. It was meant to be a short video of one of my granddaughters on a trampoline.
