That’s a hard to find Model Congratulations..

Thanks Carl.. I never had this kit as a kid and I was only 6 years old when it was issued. I've always wanted one. This would be a super kit for someone to resurrect from the grave.. So to speak.. It would be flying off the stores shelves as fast as they could make them.

First snowfall of the season overnight.

I'm one of those weirdos that likes winter.

It's only an inch or so, and the temps today will be warm enough that it will all be melted later today, but it's a start.

Glad I put up the Christmas lights on Saturday when it was warm! Will turn them on around the end of November.

It won't get "cold" here until next week. All 80 degrees plus this week, but raining (finally!) Next week is in the 50's...but I don't really care for cold weather or snow. Shoveled too much of that stuff over the years.

I have been doing something pretty stupid for the last 9 months,or so.That is up until today.I’ve been driving with no inspection, well a very expired inspection on my car.My car in question just happens to be an unmarked 09 Crown Vic,great cars.U gotta drive one, they’re a blast.Anyway,I got pulled over at least three times over the months that i had an expired inspection. The police just gave me a warning each time.I’m thinking it might have something to do with the car.Cops love Crown Vic’s.They always tell me that. However i figured my luck would eventually run out,and i would get a ticket,or maybe more, since it was close to a year old,9 months, expired.I have rear sides, and back windows tinted. In NY,you are allowed to have tint on the back and back side windows. But a lot of shops will say u have to remove your tint.So they can charge $75 a window,no thanks.Well, long story short,i got the name of another shop right up the road from a friend..In a nut shell,he allowed me to keep my tint,he passed me 1,2,3.It was great. Finally an honest guy.I tipped him $30,he wouldn’t take it..So now I’m legal, and i still have my tint.

Went and saw Tool last night. Amazing show. This is the third time I've seen them, and they always do a first rate visual show. Lights, lasers, video...awesome.

The venue posted all kinds of warnings about how the artist had made this a camera-free concert, including cellphones. And throughout the show, security was going up and down the aisles warning people. Only saw one person escorted out.

And I liked that. Have been to so many shows where all you see is a sea of screens. Just watch and enjoy the show.

I usually snap a couple of pics as mementos and then I'm good.

So on the last song, they actually thanked the crowd for enjoying the show, and then told us to get out our phones and take as many pics as we wanted for the last song.

So I got a couple.

Another week with a good amount of extra hours behind the wheel of my school bus has ended. I got paid and I'm going to spend the weekend working on my vintage AMT 61 Ford convertible.

This was actually yesterday, but it was a real pleasure. I attended a birthday dinner for one of my grandsons, his 13th birthday. He's a good kid and his whole reasoning behind the choice of where he would pick for his dinner location was based on me and my current situation with being unable to attend many events. I was so proud of his selflessness. Most kids would want some place with video games and fun houses. I was also pleased that my dads younger sister was able to step up and sit with my dad which allowed me to go. We had a good time. I was able to see and intermingle with my 4 grandkids and especially get to spend some time with my wife. Best thing was.. I didn't have to cook nor clean up! Nah that was just an added bonus. It's so nice to be pleased by loving family members.

Selflessness and civility are rare commodities these days.

Quality time with family is so precious.

All of what you said is so true Bob. I wish I had more time with my family but they understand and support what I'm doing for my dad. Its just a small inconvenience in life for a man who fought for his country at the age of 18 in Germany and france, battle of the bulge during WW2, who made me, raised me, supported me and taught me good values. Its my turn to return the favor proudly. You could say its my duty and an honor to do so!

Since I can't get to the "irked" page I'll post here. It kind of pleased me anyway as I had to smile at the slight humor of tracking an order.

Been expecting a package from UPS and it said delivery yesterday. Since that was Sunday I knew it wasn't going to happen. Later yesterday it said today. This morning it says Tuesday October 31. Been through this before and it's no big deal. Kind of funny actually.

I ordered four items from e-they yesterday, and they all shipped today! Usually it's three or four days wait for shipment..... I don't have the postal nightmares y'all do, so I should have everything by the first of next week.

I had a package last week that had arrived in Austin, typically the last stop before I get it next day. That night, for some inexplicable reason, the postal service sent it to Baton Rouge, Louisiana for an overnight jaunt. This week they sent a package to a relatively nearby town - 2 hours away - that has a similar sounding name to my town, sort of. I watched the progress and assumed it would be delayed a day as well, but they somehow hoofed it over to me by dinner time, so that was nice as well as sort of entertaining.

in response to your package delivery post.. here’s a screenshot of my phone.  eBay predicting the package would arrive two days in the past!  And it only gave two days before it would be late!  Package did arrive on the 20th.

Last month I had a USPS head scratcher… one of my eBay sales went out in a regular business envelope on Oct 10.  My mail hub is Wilmington DE and the recipient is in Delaware. He messages me on the 25th that he hadn’t received it!

At least he messaged me instead of complaining to eBay!  I asked him to wait another week, and he agreed. Got a message on Nov 1 that he received it in good condition! He said it would be fun to know what crazy journey it went on!

I told him about the envelope I sent to western Canada. Disappeared so after a month I refunded the buyer. After another month she messaged me wanting to pay again. It arrived with a back stamp from Indonesia!

Very pleased with Revell customer service. Had a warped and broken windshield frame for the '29 Model A roadster. Contacted them and they sent a replacement which didn't take very long to get here. Now I can finish my model.

One of my guitars was playing pretty good, but needed a bit of help.

Normally I do setups and stuff myself, but this one was stumping me, so I took it to a local guy.

Did a full overhaul and major deep clean. Plus fret levelling, added some fret falloff, dressed the fret ends, and replaced the springs.

This thing is totally transformed now. Will definitely be sending him more of my guitars.

Plus he did some photos that will show up on all of his social media feeds.

There's no school today because of Veterans Day so I'll resume working on my vintage AMT 61 Ford Galaxie convertible for today and on Sunday. I'll be at a parade on Saturday honoring those who served our nation. I'll also get holiday pay from the Big Boss.
