VW93 Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 (edited) I'm trying to find out which of the new AMT releases come with the new Firestone whitewalls.I know they are in the following kits;Kits with PP next to it means it has been verified as the same as Parts Pack tires.Wide WhitewallsThree Stooges '40 Ford SD PP'36 Ford coupe/roadster Retro Style Box'49 Mercury Retro Style BoxNarrow Stripe'65 Chevelle SW Super Wagon'62 Chevy NorthwindAny others ?Thanks to Mark and Brett for their contributions to this list Edited September 15, 2014 by VW93
disabled modeler Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 The 65 Chevelle wagon kit had them in the issue before the newest reissue. Being a factory stock mostly kind of guy white wall tires in 78 and 70 series width tires are always an issue here.
VW93 Posted September 15, 2014 Author Posted September 15, 2014 Mark, would that be the Super Wagon Kit that had the Retro label on it? I believe it is kit# AMT701.Those would be the narrow whitewalls, correct ?
Brett Barrow Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 49 Mercury has wide whites. 62 Bel Air Northwind has narrow Have to be careful as some of the new reissues with "pad-printed tires" have the old solid Firestone Supremes and not the Parts Pack tires. .

I do not have the last issue of the Super Wagon kit but the others I had all had the same tires your asking about....there not very wide but there white walls just the same. I always find I need them for my builds and restorations...be nice to find the wider ones like a 70s series tire width....
VW93 Posted September 15, 2014 Author Posted September 15, 2014 (edited) Thanks for the replies. I'm going to update the original post with all the kits so we have a source list.I know the Stooges tires From the kit I have are the same as the Parts Pack tires. I'll note each listing with a PP next to it for same as Parts Pack tires Edited September 15, 2014 by VW93
