Tonioseven Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Hey. I rarely post my projects on forums anymore but I figure I'd give it a shot for old times' sake. These are different versions of Aoshima's Mazda sports car kit. All three are painted with nail polish and cleared with Testors Wet-Look clear decanted and shot unthinned through my {Paasche H with a #3 tip @ 20psi. They will built as a part of a fictional club of street racers. The liveries will all have similarities and hopefully by posting this thread, it will motivate me to focus on finishing them. Thanks for looking. Antonio
matthijsgrit Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 I'll be watching! I like those cars and your work!
Modelbuilder Mark Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Nice sheen. You already buffed those out?
Chuck Most Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Nice! They look like they're made of candy.
jbwelda Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 wow beautiful paint! love those cars too! missed seeing your stuff so hopefully you will come around more! jb
Bill Eh? Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 My thought echo those of others who have already posted. Love your work. This trio of RX-7s is amazing. Really like the flip-flop (rootbeer ?) colored car. Please keep posting. I'm one of your many 'northern' fans.
rsxse240 Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Glad to see you posting your work again, Antonio. The paint looks fantastic!
bobthehobbyguy Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Very nice paint on all three. Looking forward to more.
Pierre_tec Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 woowww what a shine!!! and nice color choices, keep pics coming please!
Tonioseven Posted September 29, 2014 Author Posted September 29, 2014 Thanks guys. I still need to polish the paint out but I am pleased with how they turned out so far. The kits won't be super-detailed but just enough to keep me building and to clear out some room in the stash. I don't want to buy any more kits until I get a few finished. Thanks again for looking and for the kind words, I really appreciate them. Antonio.
bobthehobbyguy Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Personally If those are unpolished I would not polish them. They have a great shine and there is a risk of messing them up. Keep up the good work.
