StevenGuthmiller Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 I tried to find a little info on-line about what ward drove. I didn't go into a lot of depth on it, but the little bit of info I did find seems to make us both pretty much correct Rich. Apparently, Ward was a Ford man in the mid fifties, switching to Mopar in '59-'60. Someone seemed to have recalled seeing an episode with Ward driving a '60 Plymouth! Steve
Ramfins59 Posted October 12, 2014 Author Posted October 12, 2014 Hey John, thanks a lot. How's things back in "Nu Yawk"??
mangodart Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Very nice !!! You were lucky enough to find a straight body, which is not easy with promo from this period !!! Why has it never been reissued ??...
StevenGuthmiller Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Very nice !!! You were lucky enough to find a straight body, which is not easy with promo from this period !!! Why has it never been reissued ??... It was re-issued Emmanuel. Back in the 80s by a company called X-el. This is an example of an X-el model which is why there is no warp. X-el made their kits from styrene. Steve
Ramfins59 Posted October 14, 2014 Author Posted October 14, 2014 Thanks very much for your kind comments guys. Emmanuel, and anyone else who may be looking for one of these promos, at the moment there are 4 separate ones listed on EBAY...... but be prepared to pay some bucks for them.
Ramfins59 Posted October 15, 2014 Author Posted October 15, 2014 Thanks a lot Tom. It's fun working on model cars that you don't see everyday.
