Joe Handley Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Yup, stock was 225/50TR18 Goodyear Eagle LS2, the new ones are BFG's brand new (as in, new to market as of last week!) Sport Comp 2 All Season in 235/50ZR18. I did break them loose leaving the gas station after work and while they made some noise, it didn't screach like I was torturing the neighbor's cat either as the Goodyears did!
unclescott58 Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Got the complete collection Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes movies. All 14 films. 12 restored by the UCLA Film & Television Archives. The six I've watched so far (includeing one that not did not need to be restored) all look and sound great. I also have the complete collection of Jeremy Brett's Sherlock Holmes on order. Should be getting that in next few days. Scott
crazyjim Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 My toy showed up late yesterday afternoon. 1986 Mustang GT that's ALL original, 30K miles and was in climate controlled storage for many years.
cobraman Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Great looking Mustang ! You gotta build a replica.
crazyjim Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Thanks ray. I don't know if there's a 1/25 scale kit available. If so, I want one.
cobraman Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 I think there may be a kit but if not perhaps there is a resin body ? Missing link ???
Zen Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Great looking 86! No kit or resin available for the 85/86.
Austin T Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Talk about mint, that looks like it's right off the lot! How many miles does she have?
Tom Geiger Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Wow! That's so pretty! But ya know, the roof looks maybe an inch too low?
Joe Handley Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Wow! That's so pretty! But ya know, the roof looks maybe an inch too low? Nah, I was thinking an inch too high
Austin T Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Wow! That's so pretty! But ya know, the roof looks maybe an inch too low? Don't worry Tom,They make a resin body to correct that issue.
crazyjim Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 (edited) Thanks guys. She has 30,000 original miles. The transport guy commented that he didn't know he was picking up a brand new 1986 Mustang. After my near death experience at the start of March, I decided my life is worth a splurge. The baja bug will be hitting ebay & Craigslist in the very near future, Robert. chunkypeanutbutter Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Sad about the Bug. Why're you letting it go?
crazyjim Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 I have the Mustang now and it's much more fun than the baja.
atomicholiday Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 (edited) My toy showed up late yesterday afternoon. 1986 Mustang GT that's ALL original, 30K miles and was in climate controlled storage for many years. Beautiful Mustang! I have wanted one of those since they first came out. Wasn't 1986 the first year for fuel injection in those? Edited April 22, 2015 by atomicholiday
1930fordpickup Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Nice Mustang Jim. Very few stock cars left.
crazyjim Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Thanks Andy. I think I was pretty lucky finding it. Had the windows tinted on Wednesday - trying to save the pristine interior from the Florida sun.
1930fordpickup Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 This week another Great Niece was delivered. Girl number four for my niece , I wonder if she will be a Superhero fan as the other three are?
1930fordpickup Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Jim I has an 80 Capri with a 5.0 from an 86 Mustang, it had a carb on it and that was a fast little car for the street. Sold it to my cousin . Miss it now. I replaced it with a new 2002 Mustang GT that is faster but just not as cool.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Couple days ago, I got SimLife at Goodwill. Original 1990 issue in the big box, with 3.5 and 5.25 disks. Original receipt inside states someone paid $52 for it in 1990!
Tom Geiger Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Couple days ago, I got SimLife at Goodwill. Original 1990 issue in the big box, with 3.5 and 5.25 disks. Original receipt inside states someone paid $52 for it in 1990! Never thought I'd be nostalgic over 5.25 disks! Back in the day, we'd buy 10 boxes of 10 at a time in my office. We used them in our Apollo unix mini computers to back up CAD drawings. Inside each box of 10 you got a free credit card size calculator! We loved those! Now my first computer had an 8" floppy drive... I know I have a few of those around here somewhere!
1930fordpickup Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Well I was waken by an Earthquake here in lower Michigan. Now I know what all the fuss in California is all about. No damage just a little shaking.
