Very pretty! I wouldn't want to have to shlep all that though- I play a 4-piece set of '71 Ludwigs with 2 cymbals and a high-hat.

I never took them out of the house. I'm a "play for me" kind of guy. I had more than a few offers to jam with some other guys, but never bothered.

Played guitar and bass for over 22 years, I was a bass player in a Rockabilly/rock n roll band for a number of years, havent been in a band for about 10 years now, but I still play for practice a lot.

Still own my two Fender basses, a Telecaster an Epi Les paul and a Gibson SG special and a couple of acoustics.

All the big amplifiers have been sold on over the years , I use Fender modelling amps now for both guitar and bass (Mustang and Bronco).

Played some rhythm guitar and some vocals for a couple of bands. I miss my old tube amps. Been thinking about a low wattage tube amp lately. Maybe a 15 watt Orange. Would love to get another Laney AOR.

I'm auditioning as a singing drummer for another band on Friday.

I entertained fantasies about becoming a big time rock 'n roll drummer when I was much younger, but those days are very far behind me now. Good luck with your hunt.

At 57 years old I don't really have any rockstar aspirations, I just want to play good music and entertain people

The audition went pretty well last night- the electronic drumset they had was horrid, but I sang pretty well so now I'm in 2 bands

We played:

Jailbreak by Thin Lizzy

It Don't come Easy by Ringo

China Grove and Long Train Runnin' by the Doobie Bros.

Jet by Paul McCartney and Wings

Brown Sugar by the Rolling Stones

Rock and Roll Hoochie-koo by Rick Derringer

Electronic drumset. Horrible.

Like a Clonewheel Hammond. Doesn't sound the same, doesn't feel the same... Completely different things!

Congrats on the acceptance! B)

Thanks!

There is no substitute for a real tonewheel Hammond- they're just a maintenance nightmare (along with Mellotrons)
