BKIN10SECS Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 (edited) Can anyone advise me if their is any kind of photoetch detail that can be used for a MSD box. Or does anyone have any techniques on detailing one. I saw Mr. David Thibodeaus' Black Pearl and it stated that he topped the MSD boxes with photoetch plates. Along with the rest of the car it looked fantastic. Thanks..... Edited January 30, 2008 by BKIN10SECS

I don't know about any photo-etch parts, but in addition to the Detail Master, Charley from Pro-Tech http://www.protechmodelparts.com has a MSD 6 Ignition Box and a MSD 7 Ignition Box in resin. And he's based right down the highway from you in Orlando. Jefbo Edited January 30, 2008 by Jefbo
1320wayne Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 The MSD box plates that you saw on David's build are part of a large Nascar photoetch set from Model Car Garage. The set is for a Dale Earnhardt build but you can use it for most any later year Nascar builds. It retails for over $40. You could check MCG's online site to see if they offer the plates in a smaller set.
BKIN10SECS Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 Hey 1320....I did see that set, and I thought that was what I was looking for. Thank you so much for confirming that.
