Usually these trailers have no arch, with a proper load. The cargo area is typically 6 to 8 inches off the ground. But I guess this is a long load kinda. It just seems like a waste of money for the extra length on the permit fee.

Going by the Manitowoc logo on the side there I would say it is one small part of a very large crane. Any more pieces in the yard there, Clayton?

Yeah. There's a bunch masts and other things. The lower crawler unit will be in at least 3 pieces. It is a big crane, I just think the trailer is a bit overkill. A 4 axle would have been plenty.

Seems like a lot of trailer for that load.....However, it could have been just a "smidge" over the weight capacity of a smaller trailer, too.....Gotta stay legal, you know......
