Petetrucker07 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 This was in the yard today when I got back from my day. The arch is still in the trailer.
MsDano85gt Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 still arch means the load isn't heavy enuff yet?? no sparks on the ground while draggin her behind the rig? still arch means the load isn't heavy enuff yet?? no sparks on the ground while draggin her behind the rig?
Petetrucker07 Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 Usually these trailers have no arch, with a proper load. The cargo area is typically 6 to 8 inches off the ground. But I guess this is a long load kinda. It just seems like a waste of money for the extra length on the permit fee.
Fabrux Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Going by the Manitowoc logo on the side there I would say it is one small part of a very large crane. Any more pieces in the yard there, Clayton?
High octane Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Better too much trailer than not enough, especially when hauling BIG equipment.

Any more pieces in the yard there, Clayton? Yeah. There's a bunch masts and other things. The lower crawler unit will be in at least 3 pieces. It is a big crane, I just think the trailer is a bit overkill. A 4 axle would have been plenty.
kilrathy10 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 (edited) Seems like a lot of trailer for that load.....However, it could have been just a "smidge" over the weight capacity of a smaller trailer, too.....Gotta stay legal, you know...... Edited January 23, 2015 by kilrathy10
