Frank Posted February 11, 2008 Author Posted February 11, 2008 Yes, they work now. Interesting model. Very different and refreshing. What scale? What manufacturer? Thanks, It's a 1/16 kit by Minicraft. I bought it at my LHS, but they do come up on ebay regularly.

ZIL 111V Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Nice work on rare subject. All 1/16 car kits of Minicraft actual line are former Gakken kits, most of them are really nice kits. Japanese kit maker Gakken made a series of 1/16 antique & later classic car kits from the late 60's to the mid 70's, Entex did reboxed many of Gakken kits in the 70's-early 80's. Minicraft took most of the Gakken molds back in the late 80's: 1901 Dion Bouton, 1886 benz, or 31 ford, 33 cadillac V16, MGTC, kits where all originally made by Gakken model co of Tokyo.......try the '28 Mercedes SS one of Gakken's best kit.

Harry P. Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Very nice work, Frank...that's a beauty! I love the colors. The old "brass age" cars are great model subjects. Lots of nice detail.
