landman Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 I've noticed that masking tape doesn't adhere very well to resin. I like to use it to hold parts together for mocking up. Any cure for this? Ar alternatives? Thanks, Pat
Snake45 Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 The resin must have some kind of mold release still on it. I've never noticed any problem with masking tape on clean, degreased resin.
landman Posted February 16, 2015 Author Posted February 16, 2015 OK. Does purple Power work for that. I also heard of Simple Green. That Bleche White isn't available here.

Tom Geiger Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 In fact one of the tests to make sure resin is clean enough for paint is to put some masking tape on it to see if it sticks.
cobraman Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Right they are. If the tape does not stick the resin can not be painted.
