Jantrix
I have heard of people using 1/24 kits for there xmods. Can you use a 1/24 kit to put on a xmod? That is my question for the day. All responses apriciated thanks! From what I found with a simple Google search was that Xmods are 1/28 scale, which makes then smaller than your average 1/24 or 1/25 scale kit. I really think the manufacturer shot themselves in the foot by not having a similar scale, but what do I know about business right? As far as using your model parts on them or vice versa, if it looks good to you - do it.
cobra98
The xmods are 1/28, but the width works well with 1/24&1/25 model bodies. You just have to stretch the wheelbase to fit the body you're going to use. The "evo" series chassis are easier to stretch than the "gen 1" chassis. Here are a couple I did,a PL mopar & amt pontiac
BigBeze
Thanks for the input, we'll see how it goes. And those xmods look pretty sweet. How do you stretch the wheel base might I ask?
cobra98
You can buy the chassis filler parts online for the evo cars ...the easiest way,or you can scratch build fillers from thick sheet styrene. Google for xmod forums...you'll find plenty of "how to's" & customs using model bodies.
