Smart-Resins
Well, All I can say is I got this old glue bomb 1/16 scale C-cab for parts donated to my Yahoo group for the group build and for casting purposes. The remainder of the kit was left to my disposal. Whoho!! Since I enjoy 1/16 sooo very much, my head started to spin! (beetlejuice beetlejuice.) Oh no.Sorry. Anyways here is a pic of it in the condition I got it with several badly glued pieces and broken pieces. Most of the frame and springs are junk! The tires and rims shown are not from it. Now I had a idea of a TT C-cabpickup style with something else in the back. Heres is a very rough mock up. Then I decided to start doing a tuck n roll interior using half round styrene. Here is the beginning results of that. The one side panel and back panel are done, just needs cleaning up and smoothing out. Next to do is the other side panel and 2 door panels. The upper half of the sides will get a diamond pattern with buttons. Yes, I know that will take me forever to cut out each diamond(may just do small squares?) But with what I am doing, this will be worth it. so with further ado, hers more pic. Next, I just got in a 31 in trade. Z'd the chassis for the truck, then decided I both wanted a custom hot rod chassis for the truck and a more stock style chassis for this, so frames ideas are swapped out. I then decided to box the frame in. Anyways, so here it is again in rough mock up on its new chassis. Now this will be treaded to frosted glass in the oval windows and some of the rear glass. It will house a flat head motor. Downfall is the flat head motor that came with the 31 truck, was a different style then I like. No dual water pumps. So I will be scratch building a new front for the motor for the dual water pumps, and new drives. Also am going with stcks on it. That too is being scratched, actually going into rubber tomarrow. The other parts will go into rubber when the time comes. So by tommarrow I will be adding carbs, breathers and stacks to my growing list of 1/16 scale parts. The quick change will get reworked and casted as well. Will bear white walls with steelies, wich I am reworking to both be universal and more detailed and will also be scratch building spiders for them. They will too be casted when the time comes. This may get a blower or may not, or maybe a log manifold. I know I will be making both of those, just not sure if for this project or not. Anyways, the rear end will all have to be scratchbuilt as it will be something quit different. A little hint for right now to see if anyone can guess it. It will be something simular to what John Force owns and has run at the tracks for some extra income. He also currently has it for sale for $55,000 that one however is a model A I believe, or maybe its just a TT. I cant remember. Anyways without any more hints, I turn the table over to you guys. Now while you are sitting there watching movies, I hope you think of this build.HEHEHE. Jody
