Need better pictures, haven't gotten around to taking pictures of them in the booth....so show pics will have to do.

Revell USA Ferrari F430. Bear of a kit. Ferrari's are some of my favorite cars (partly probably because I know I will never own one). However after building this one, I am seriously thinking of replacing my Revell Ferrari's with some better kits. Friend of mine doing the Revell Enzo was having fit issues with it as well.

I did replace all inlets and outlets for the air with metal screening, drilled the cooling holes in the disc brakes, as well as Pirelli dry transfers for the tires and Hobby Design Ferrari emblems all around. The emblems are pretty cool actually, despite the set I have that says it is supposed to be for the F430...they would work on just about any modern Ferrari, and you get enough in a package for 4-5 cars. Painted with Testor's Graphite Dust from their One Shot line.

One other shot of it.

This one is the Tamiya 1/24 RX-7 R1. Nothing really special done to this one, other than it was an experiment painting with Vallejo Acrylics, just to see if it would come out as well as the lacquers, and it seemed to work.

The color is Vallejo Copper, over a black base coat. I tried the color out on some plastic spoons on different colored primers. White primer really brought the orange out in the color, while the grey and more so the black brought out more of the deep copper tones. So black base color it was. Use Future Floor wax as a gloss coat, and no polishing. Was pretty good to go after the Future. The picture makes it come out more orangy that it really is, but still looks good I think.

Other than that, a custom license plate that I did using the ACME license plate maker and white decal paper, which of course can't be seen in this photo!

I'm digging both of em Scott! Love that copper paint...post more of your builds!

I was gonna try some Createx colors on a model some day and coat em with Future....that stuff works great. Used to airbrush t-shirts for a while and the Createx was easy to use and thin. Now if it works on plastic as well as textiles is another question I have to explore!
