cobraman
Having almost finished up a 49 Merc I am starting on another. The next one will have more custom work done. What I am doing is wanting to drill holes right over the 3 carbs on the engine. My idea is to use some aluminum tubing instead of the 3 air cleaners and want them to come through the hood. I am not sure how the best way would be to make sure the holes I drill will be lined up exactly in line with the 3 carbs. Suggestions very welcome. Thanks ! Rob Z
You can always take some modelers clay or silly putty and stick it on the inside of you exsisting '49 hood set it on the car and where the air cleaners leave marks it would give you a guide on the new build...
