Semi Trailer Mechanic
What's goin' on... By the looks of your posts you've been busy! RIght now I've got the "Builders Block"! Two projects on the bench and the CEO of the trucking company I work for wants me to build an FLD120 for him. Sometimes you (generally speaking) can sit down and there's no effort to complete a project. It's like it finishes itself. Then on the flipside you sit there and you can't seem to make any headway at all!!!
phoneguy
progress made...changed air ride to spring suspension, crammed a Cummins 350 in it, added Astro fuel tanks for the longer runs. Jerry
mackinac359
Do you have any spoke rear wheels? Those would be perfect for the walking beam suspension! Tim progress made...changed air ride to spring suspension, crammed a Cummins 350 in it, added Astro fuel tanks for the longer runs. phoneguy
Tim, I think I have some from one of the AMT moving vans, but nothing for the front. Jerry
SpreadAxle
You could do spoke rears, disc fronts. I've seen quite a few trucks that way. I think the KW from the movie High Ballin is set up that way. Looks good so far.
Casey429
I second what FlatbedKW said, go with the spoke drives and budd fronts. There's a Superliner that runs around here that is like that, a few older R models, and a few other makes.
mackinac359
Yeah, spokes on the rears and disc wheels on the front. That would look very "east coast." Tim
phoneguy
ok guys, you talked me into it. I put a set of spokes from the Astro kit on it. I'll post some new pics later. Jerry

SpreadAxle
Looks good, and as Tim said, nice East Coast look. Growing up in NYC, most of the wheels I saw were spokes.
