  1. it looks good... my only concern is the ralliart decals. the ralliart lancer is a lower trim lancer between the base lancer and Evolution GSR. EVO X > Evo GSR > Ralliart > Base regardless, the ralliart badge DOES look good on your car! color looks amazing. but, the kit has no engine detail does it? i wish these japanese companise would have engine detail like revell has on 99.8% of their kits.
  2. bleach, got it! i was thinking brake fluid since i use that to strip paint! thanks for the info! lets see more if this blown 32!! its making me itch to get mine! haha!
  3. i have a pack of 8 427's in my house somewhere. well, 7 cause one is shoved in a camaro thats been on the backburner. i see an 8-pack of these parts back engines containing 2 of each, ford, chevy, pontiac, caddie, for under $20. im thinkin about nabbing that one real soon. whats the best way to strip the chrome off?
  4. im gonna have to go get me one of those 283 parts packs then!
  5. amazing. im sure the paint looks WAY better in person! this is my all-time favorite car!
  6. not sure i like where the air scoop sits on the crank driven blower. looks like it would catch a lot of road debris. very cool idea for long, low cars where visibility is already restricted.
  7. good deal! just didnt want any younger guys here to read that and be misinformed! i like the term pop-off valve better than blow-off valve... popo-off sounds less dirty to me. sad to hear about the bonneville though. overdriven supercharger sounds aweseom! i got ao guy on my street with an early 2000's camaro with an LS1 swap and an overdriven supercharger... thing sounds NUTS even at idle!
  8. no waste gates on supercharger setups. those blow open at a give PSI to keep turbos from over-boosting. did you mean perhaps a blow off valve or recirculation valve? i'ver personally never seen on in 1:1 on a supercharger (centrifugal or blower) but they would serve the same purpose on the supercharger as a turbocharger setup.
  9. do u have the rest of the kit that the engine came from? i have a custom rear engine 300zx im doing but i need a new body for it
  10. i havent done any work since entering this build (life, building, repairing, and racing the 1:1, school, and job hunting has side tracked me, along with two custom v-12 engines i'm working on are getting in the way! haha) here is how my Camaro/Ford hybrid currently sits, except for a bigger front mount intercooler. This is the old intercooler. new one is about twice as tall, same width. also going to re-pipe the turbos as i have the exhaust inlet and outles swapped from the traditional way. These are the old wheels. current ones, and permanent ones, are the torq thrust pictured above.
  11. is this the Aoshima one with the full engine detail?
  12. yes, but who is winning in horsepower? im thinkin my TT Ford Racing 427cid will give a boost.... but do those HP numbers go to Ford, or Chevy?!
  13. im glad the due date for this is late. i'v been side-tracked by two other projects! lol
  14. i built them with some solder and short bits of aluminum tubing. here's a few small things i could do to make them more realistic, but i have o clue where my dremel is.
