  1. it looks good... my only concern is the ralliart decals. the ralliart lancer is a lower trim lancer between the base lancer and Evolution GSR. EVO X > Evo GSR > Ralliart > Base regardless, the ralliart badge DOES look good on your car! color looks amazing. but, the kit has no engine detail does it? i wish these japanese companise would have engine detail like revell has on 99.8% of their kits.
  2. bleach, got it! i was thinking brake fluid since i use that to strip paint! thanks for the info! lets see more if this blown 32!! its making me itch to get mine! haha!
  3. i have a pack of 8 427's in my house somewhere. well, 7 cause one is shoved in a camaro thats been on the backburner. i see an 8-pack of these parts back engines containing 2 of each, ford, chevy, pontiac, caddie, for under $20. im thinkin about nabbing that one real soon. whats the best way to strip the chrome off?
  4. im gonna have to go get me one of those 283 parts packs then!
  5. amazing. im sure the paint looks WAY better in person! this is my all-time favorite car!
  6. not sure i like where the air scoop sits on the crank driven blower. looks like it would catch a lot of road debris. very cool idea for long, low cars where visibility is already restricted.
  7. good deal! just didnt want any younger guys here to read that and be misinformed! i like the term pop-off valve better than blow-off valve... popo-off sounds less dirty to me. sad to hear about the bonneville though. overdriven supercharger sounds aweseom! i got ao guy on my street with an early 2000's camaro with an LS1 swap and an overdriven supercharger... thing sounds NUTS even at idle!
  8. no waste gates on supercharger setups. those blow open at a give PSI to keep turbos from over-boosting. did you mean perhaps a blow off valve or recirculation valve? i'ver personally never seen on in 1:1 on a supercharger (centrifugal or blower) but they would serve the same purpose on the supercharger as a turbocharger setup.
  9. do u have the rest of the kit that the engine came from? i have a custom rear engine 300zx im doing but i need a new body for it
  10. i havent done any work since entering this build (life, building, repairing, and racing the 1:1, school, and job hunting has side tracked me, along with two custom v-12 engines i'm working on are getting in the way! haha) here is how my Camaro/Ford hybrid currently sits, except for a bigger front mount intercooler. This is the old intercooler. new one is about twice as tall, same width. also going to re-pipe the turbos as i have the exhaust inlet and outles swapped from the traditional way. These are the old wheels. current ones, and permanent ones, are the torq thrust pictured above.
  11. is this the Aoshima one with the full engine detail?
  12. yes, but who is winning in horsepower? im thinkin my TT Ford Racing 427cid will give a boost.... but do those HP numbers go to Ford, or Chevy?!
  13. im glad the due date for this is late. i'v been side-tracked by two other projects! lol
  14. i built them with some solder and short bits of aluminum tubing. here's a few small things i could do to make them more realistic, but i have o clue where my dremel is.
  15. dont see why not. its got two doors, and you got room for some big motors. aint nothin to it but to do it!
  16. this thing will have massive turbo lag, so i think a 2 car length is appropriate. does it have to be a domestic powerplant? im also building a 5.2L V-12TT (RB52DETT) built from a pair of RB26 engines... you know, the nissan beasts. if ONE inline 6 is capable of a reliable 1200hp to the wheels, imagine two of them in a V layout. i say an easy 1900hp at the wheels. but i think that one will be going in my old 240 i was building in the drift buildoff a while back.
  17. can i use my camaro i started a while ago, but never progressed too far with since? (this is how it currently sits on my work bench) if its ok to use this, its revell's 1979 Camaro Z28 with a TT Ford 427
  18. all those holes are for the individual chrome pieces. the car will be gloss black ext with those chrome accents. not sure what the wheels are called, but they are issued by aoshima, and dont come in a kit from what i know.
  19. minor update switched to different, slightly smaller wheels and tires. probably only about 1 scale inch smaller, and comes out to roughly 24" wheels. decided the interior will be flat white with semi gloss black accents/striping. yes, there's hairs in my camera. i dont know how to clean it out, but i'll figure it out somehow.
  20. i agree, the price is the main reason why i havent invested in this kit (or any kits for the past 8 months for that matter)
  21. ok, so after picking up the pieces of my life and getting back into the hobby, i figured i'd start fresh with a new build and not go back to my older ones. here is revellograms 1958 Chevy Impala. the wheel choice is already changed from the pics. decided not to do 13, 14, or 15inch wire spoke rims on a lowrider... seems too over played. instead going for a boyd coddington or chip foose type of style of big rims slammed to the deck. i believe these rims are appx 20" on 1/24 scale, but the model is 1/25... im horrible at math so i wont try and figure it out. only "modification" i made other than the obvious suspension work is 4-wheel disk brake upgrade using calipers and rotors from an aoshima Nissan GT-R R35. the floorpan/underbody has already been fixed/realigned since the pics were taken. current plans are to do it in a gloss black exterior, undesided interior, with all the normal chrome trim pieces. yes, also using the spare wheel out back. any suggestions on anything i can do to the motor? i have only built one car model in the past 3-4 years that had a stock engine. i wanna keep it that way
  22. i've been wanting to build this kit for months! yours looks amazing!
  23. no intercooling? wouldnt be too hard to set that up! looks good! i love V8s blown by twins... im working on a twin surpercharged twin turbo charged big block of some kind. not sure what it'll go in, but i just wanna build the powerplant.
  24. lookin very good so far!! dont you just wish these R34's came with the full drive train as its own sub assembly?
