  1. where did u get it and do they have an extended cab option? my buddy has a Chevy S-10, a rebadged Sonoma in exertior respects, that i want to build a replica of as his is bagged and body dropped and custom in almost every way. the only thing im picky about is the front as he has the upper and lower split headlights like ur current build, and not the single light unit.
  2. and such perfect timing! the Z club im in meets for our monthly meetings tomorrow, and we all (15+ people) crash the local applebee's afterwards. its good to save a few $$ here and there. all i gotta pay for is beer! oh, and i guess we'll start this, USMC 2006-present

  4. lookin sweet. i got a non turbo one of these in 1:1 and is my daily driver. i need to pick up another one of these kits... i've built a half dozen and i can't get enough! one im working on now will have the HKS HiPer exhaust. not the best looking, but the exhaust that has been dyno proven for the most gain.
  5. hey guys. me and my 240z are going to have to duck out of this buildoff. lately i've come across a lot of issues at home, and with the now former fiance' that has left me, i have zero drive for the hobby, combine that with school starting next week, and gearing up for an afghanistan deployment in january, i will have no time at all to work on the 240, let alone the other 4-5 builds i have going on...
  6. DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELisious! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, yummy! ###### gorgeous lookin car. wish my enzo was turning out half as good as your 430!
  7. its roughly 1/8" in diamter. as for attatching it, thats kinda where i fudge it. if the car doesnt have one of my turbos on it (same diamter) i just glue the end of the solder to the header with super glue, after getting all the bends right and such. its doesnt look the best, but for me it works.
  8. yes you should have! its so much easier to work with. thats how i make all my exhausts.
  9. any way you could possibly scan/email, photocopy/snail mail, or snail me the instructions when ur done? i have this kit, but the instructions disappeared the color you those is awesome! the interior colors are gonna go well together also!
  10. no, i dont have the engine yet. im going to try and grab one from a 1/24 p-51 from trumpeter.
  11. YES! I can finally maka a mid-engine V-8 drag beast, fully tubbed with ALMOST full car-width slicks tucked in between the fenders! wow... i cannot wait. also, i need a job to pay for this...
  12. wow, i feel dumb for not realizing ferrari had flat 12's in some of their cars. that alone has lead me to want to build this kit, not to mention your hard work. i decided against it for so long cause it was "Miami Vice Version" and Vice was before my generation, so i assumed big rims, and almost a donk ferrari. i might replace the wheels, cause those would go awesome on my 240z.
  13. these open wheel roadsters arent my cup of tea normally, but lately i've been getting "that itch" to build one. where do you guys find these parts; frame, body, bed etc? I had this crazy idea of taking a truck idea like this, but with a WWII era Allison V-12 aircraft engine, or new school with a porsche or ferrari V12.
  14. revell kit comes with a full engine, correct? i kinda want a dual supercharged Viper V10 to stick in some sort of old school chevy or ford muscle.
  15. thanks for the info! I will be ordering a couple of these in the next month!
  16. i would rather have a twin turbo Z*!! but then again, i've been a datson/nissan kid since birth (grandpa had a 510 wagon, then a 240z) *workin on a TT Z as my 1:1 plaything.
  17. Rudy: for the turbos i used ~1/8" diameter solder wrapped around a short piece of 7/32 aluminum tubing with small ring of 1.5mm solder between the exhaust and compressor sides of the turbo. all the piping was the same 1/8" solder.
  18. great work on that RX-7! here's my Z so far: Its my first roll cage ever (this project is a lot of "firsts" for me) please be nice! also moved the battery off the firewall, moved the engine back for a better balance of weight. spoiler came from Revell's Subaru Impreza WRX STi kit for the exhaust, since i removed the stock fuel tank/spare tire well i have more fudge room with the exhaust, and i dont know if i want a traditional style muffler off to the side: or a 70's volkswagen inspired center exit:
  19. got some new wheels from diymirage! much thanks to him! it was a bit of a pain to get them in, but i got them to work alright. i like the look much better than the wire mesh wheels that came in the kit.
  20. that is looking really slick so far! i always love seeing trucks of any kinds slammed on big rims, though i would never own one in real life! plz keep us updated on this one!
  21. i found a before pic of the Monte... probably a day or two before the shelf landed on it.
  22. lookin real good. i always wondered what the engine/turbo layout in that car was like.
