hi , i recently decided to put a few kits together but i have some basic questions i hope you can help me with.

i am using just testors stuff from my local hobby lobby. here are my questions.

enamel vs lacquers?

primers, white or grey?

clear coat? apply over decals? prime, paint, decals, clearcoat, then wax?

do i have to spray paint at all? i see these larger kind of paint bottles, can i brush with these? or are those for airbrushing?

thanks.

oh btw, i recently put the dragula together and i found it difficult. i dont see any child being able to do it.

im going to wait for your replys before i start the koach.

enamel vs lacquers? In a dry climate either is fine. Humidity? Lacquers, hands down. Use a good mask though. Fumes are bad. Look into acrylics too.

primers, white or grey? Depends on your top color. Pale color use white, darker colors, use grey.

clear coat? apply over decals? prime, paint, decals, clearcoat, then wax? YES! And Bare Metal Foil too!

do i have to spray paint at all? i see these larger kind of paint bottles, can i brush with these? or are those for airbrushing? Usually says on the bottle. Airbrushing would be better than rattle cans.

oh btw, i recently put the dragula together and i found it difficult. i dont see any child being able to do it. im going to wait for your replys before i start the koach. Take your time. Prep each piece by getting rid of ejection pin marks, mold seams and sink marks.

BTW, the full name thing? It is a requirement here. Check out the forum rules. Hope to see more of you here. Welcome to MCM forum.
