  1. Check out this site for some K100 pics... Classic Cabovers I always thought that the K100 double VIT sleeper aerodyne was the coolest rig on the road. Jeff
  2. Thanks for posting those pics old-hermit. That looks real nice. I always thought that the Revell transporter was a neat way to display a bunch of models, and you have proved the theory correct. Jeff
  3. Thanks for the link. It looks like fabbing a head rack for a high mount trailer is not too difficult a task. One question though, but not related to modelling, does a driver of a truck/stinger combination require the same class of licence as a driver of a tractor trailer? It seems like a silly question but a truck hauling a stinger seems more like a straight truck hauling a trailer, rather than a "normal" tractor trailer combination. Jeff
  4. I scanned the two pages of the article. I hope this works... : Page 1: Page 2: As I said this article appeared in Scale Auto Enthusiast (#71) (February 1991).
  5. I'm not sure if this relates entirely to your topic but I'd love to see a kit of an early '80's Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser wagon, complete with woodgrain. I think four door car kits are seriously under-represented and we need more of them...
  6. I just received an RG Car Transporter kit purchased off E-bay. I plan to use it to help display at least six car models in a display case in my garage. It'll be hooked up to a Rubber Duck clone (well a close approximation to the Rubber Duck - I have the correct bumper, two-hole resin wheels and a modified KW sleeper to go on an R600 AMT kit (it should look okay - I hope!) But I was wondering if anyone has built a head rack for a tractor to go along with this kit? The 1:1 rigs all have a two or three car headrack. (In which case I have an old AMT Western Star lined up as a guinea pig) Any pics? THX Jeff
  7. Yeup.... Scale Auto Enthusiast #71 (February 1991) page 60, there is a two page article by Clint Freeman about the build of a Quaker State crude oil truck based on an Ertl S-series F2575 kit....
  8. I have that magazine with the Quaker State oil truck in it around here somewhere . I'll try to find it and post the issue info. I don't know if I can scan the pics fom the mag and post them or not - it might be violating some copyright laws or something!
  9. I wish someone would offer a 1/25 MCI MC-7 or 8 or a newer D or E series coach. Although those old buses offered by RMR Resin are cool, I'd really like to see a modern motorcoach. I'd even consider casting my own if I could engineer a master! I guess RG's is a start.
  10. I never see any modelers building buses. With all the fine looking MCI and Prevost buses (among others) on the roads you'd think that there would be at least resin kits of these things. I'd love to build a 1/25 scale bus, even if it was a school bus. Anyone know of a bus kit in any scale? Jeff
