69' Charger

10 October 2012 - 03:30 PM

I've put the ZZ Top Eliminator on the back burner to start this Charger model I want to enter in a local contest (my first). The car will be painted the new Alclad Kandy Orange enamel with a black vinyl roof and black interior.

1933 Ford ZZ Top Eliminator

I've been wanting this kit for a long time. Every time I see it on Ebay its been a little more than I've been willing to pay when you factor in shipping to Canada. I walked into my LHS yesterday and saw it on the shelf for $9.99. Its used but the bags inside were still sealed. But it is missing its front window, should be easy to fab though as its flat.

I'm going to hinge the trunk. The doors will be hinged suicide style. The hood will also be hinged. I'm super excited about this one

Mack R series Tanker

08 August 2012 - 08:29 AM

My friend wanted to give his Dad, who is retired, a model of the truck he drove back in the 70's. He found the kit he wanted, The Revell Snaptite Mack R series tanker, and asked me if I would build it for him. This was my first commissioned work, LOL

I had to cut the sleeper off, shorten the frame and add a few other touches to replicate the original truck. Everything is done in various Alcad finishes and the cab is painted Testors Red Enamel

Video of Chevrolet plant 1936

Not sure if this is a repost or not. I seen this over at Live Leak and I thought it would interest some folks here. Quite an interesting vid, seeing all that old-time machinery going full-tilt.
