You know I never really knew why the LAPD actually followed the Bronco.I mean,ok,he was a possible murder suspect.But the whole entire thing was just a big embarrassing moment for the whole city of LA..It was a circus,you know sort of like his entire televised trial.🫢🙄

You should come to a meeting in Blue Point, every 3rd Thursday at 7. This month it falls on the 18th.
We meet at the Henrietta Acompura Lodge on Montauk Hwy. Take Nichols Road south to the end, hang a left. The lodge is a 1/4 mile on the left just past King Kullen.
Yea I’ve dropped in on a couple of meetings,and an auction once.Great club,great bunch of guys.I know a couple of members.Too busy taken care of my old man right now.I missed like 1/2 this years LIARS show.Then recently i missed the whole “Replicon”show,cause I overslept.And speaking of the shows at the Radisson,I remember I had an unmarked blue (Lindberg) Ford Crown Vic police car..SAE just happen to be at the show,cause I remember they would cover the show on a regular basis,way back in the day.Anyway,I came back to the table,there was a photo card next to my kit.Long story short,SAE took a photo,and it was in an issue.I think it was around 94 sometime.I still have the issue somewhere.Only time I had a model in some magazine,or win anything.

Then we went to a catering hall... big mistake. I had been there for Bot Scout dinners and warned that it would be too dark, and it was quite an embarrassment for 2 years.
For the past 20 or so years we have been at a recreational center. Great parking, well -lit, easy to get to. Another club has their annual show there too. We book the same date every year, so do they.
Classic Plastic in NH uses an Elks Lodge and it is perfect, with a bonus of food being available. My advice is getting a similar venue, almost any fraternal organization rents out hall space.
No matter where you land, venues are likely going to want to make sure you have event-insurance. Our club is IPMS based, so that is covered very easily.
As a fellow Long Islander I have to say that the LIARS club always puts on a great show,with zero complaints.Well maybe it could be a little closer to my house in Smithtown,say Commack.😁..Anyway,the rec center gymnasium is the perfect place for their show.Its weird,I have been attending their fall show for years,and I remember for a couple of years the show was held at,what I believe was the Raddison Inn on the LIE in Happauge,(which is now Jakes 57/hotel,and video casino.It was upstairs in one of their banquet halls.It was ridiculous,i felt like i was at a wedding instead of a model contest,and the lighting really sucked.There were some other “catering” halls scattered around LI through the years,before the show finally landed at the Freeport center.

I recently saw The newer version of (The Last House on the Left).Great,suspensfull,& violent movie.Pretty sick ending..I Also recently saw Trainspotting 1,&2.I thought the second one was better than the first.Its literally 20 years later.I thought both TS 1,& TS 2 were hilarious films,with a great sound track..Check it out…Sorry,i have to ask,but is this post for “new” movies,or any movie,new or old.Cause I have not been to the movies in like over 5 years.Wow.Theres no theaters really near me.🤔.And no clue what the last movie I saw was.

Idk,here on LI NY,,kinda sucked,clouds rolled in at the last second.But I was my really in the line of ,whatever you call it,sorry.It was nothing really at all.Oh well.I seriously don’t think i’ll be around for the next one in about 20 years.🤷♂️

Well I gotta say,from my point of view here on LI,it sucked.Clouds rolled in,never really got any darker..And yea that cereal box were my glasses..Only thing i could make it under 10 seconds.Idk,I was hoping for a better view,oh well.👎

..Not to be annoying.Ok,so by now we all know we are having a partial,or nearly full solar eclipse tomorrow 🥱😴Yea,thrilling.🙄So of course by now,every store is completely sold out on those stupid glasses.Its impossible because every store with in a 40 mile radius,are out of them,or never got them..Thats fine,I understand,whatever.But my four year old is tossing a fit cause he can’t look at the sun.Sorry,it was a busy week.So,what I’am asking and I googled it,but I’m asking..How can you make glasses with stuff around the house.PM me if you want,not to drag this out too long.Then the moderators can go ahead and delete the post.Ok,thanks all.”

My nephew,who attends Syracuse university,said he felt it too.Idk,but there are some decent size faults that run across NJ,that stretch well into NYS.

Yup,we felt two very mild aftershocks later in the day..I did hear some reports that there were some broken glass on some high rise buildings.Again,I just hope there were no serious injuries,major damage,or anymore scared cats.🙀,lol..

Just saw this on TV.This is how rare earthquakes occur in NY,/East coast.I don’t know how folks on the West coast,like CA deals with so many quakes.🤷♂️🫣

Yup this is true.I’m sure there were plenty of animals out there acting strange just before the quake.I can’t recall the last time NY/NJ,had a quake.

At about 10:25 am,today,a mild earthquake,about 4.7 magnitude shook parts of the East coast.I live on LI,NY,and we felt our entire house shake.It only lasted a few short seconds,but it was the strangest feeling.Im sleeping in bed,being my day off,when out of no where,my bed began to shake,(most action it’s seen in months).🤣.From what I heard,the damage was very light.We had no damage.But still,when your house starts to move on its own,,it’s a bit unnerving..Just curious,if anybody else felt it?I hope there were no injuries or major damage.Its pretty rare to feel an earthquake here in NY,but I guess they do happen from time to time.

I picked up this issue of Hotrod.I have to say that this might be their best issue.Tons of wild Pro Street cars that I remember..Plus RPM is another excellent magazine for anything Pro Street.Just hard to find it anywhere for sale anymore,so I guess you have to subscribe.

I’m only posting this because my brother is a bridge worker here in NY..Six construction workers are presumed dead following the collapse of Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge early Tuesday after an out of control container ship hit the bridge,causing a large section of the bridge to come down,taking the workers with it..Thoughts and prayers go out to the construction workers who are presumed dead.Officials said around 7:30 p.m,Tuesday, nearly 18 hours after the bridge collapsed, that the six people are still unaccounted for.The NTSB say that a search and rescue mission is now a recovery mission.RIP.😞🙏

Yup I’ve got a friend of mine who has been building the same Laguna S-3 replica for about 15 years or so.Hes gone through a half a dozen or so motors..And for the last three years,it sits rotting away under a torn cover,w/o a motor.
