  1. What a kool kit! Looks like Revel has hit a home Run! Simple to build & enough detail to look great right out of the box or with a few extra goodies. Dave, you are doing an awesome job on the build! Looks great. Way too big of a kit for me to build, then again so is 1/24 scale! The reference pics has been real nice & great reference. I do have the Jada GT-500 kit which is a great kit as well. I have tinkered with it a little, so far.
  2. G'Day Simon, Sorry it took me a while to answer. Robutelli has been out of business since the early 1990's. The wheels are from my stash. Sprint 43, Tron & Renaissance make 1/43rd wheels sets. They are available from Grand Prix Models from the United Kingdom. There are a few more manufactures that make wheel sets. Sprint 43 has the largest sellection. Scott
  3. What a great job on both Phaetons. I like the stance on the street rod. Very clean work & fine craftsmanship.
  4. Thank you very much for the comments. I will try to keep building in this scale till I can not see them anymore !
  5. First off, I goofed & posted finished cars in the "on the work bench" section, very sorry. By request, here are a few of the latest modified hot Wheels I have built in the last few years.
  6. Thank you very much for the comments. Harold does make some fine kits & they are a challenge to build. I would like to build some more.
  7. Thank you very much for the comments. Most of my building is in 1/43rd. It is a fun & diverse scale to work in. I also have quite a stash of the AMT 1/43rd scale kits. They are very nice considering the time they were produced.
  8. Thank you very much for the comments. These are so much fun to play with. If I do ruin them, & I have screwed up in the past,it is only the lose of $1.00 & they are usually easy to replace when I do mess one up. I have modified quite a few Hot Wheels over the years & I do have pics of them.
  9. The Stude is modified from a Hot Wheels 1/43 Die Cast funny car. Wheels are from Renaissance. The interior is from scratch. The rear of the car was shortened, top was angle chopped & the nose rebuilt from Evergreen. The Blue 356 Porsche is an Old Mikeansue kit that was modified into a Pro Touring car. Wheels are from Robustelli. The interior is also from scratch. Had to vac form windows from new master carved from bass wood. The Porsche 904 was an EBay find that was just a body & chassis pan. Wheels are from Robustelli. The front spoiler & engine scoop is from Evergreen plastic. Windshield & headlight covers were vac formed over a carved bass wood master. Decals were from the stash. The last 2 cars are built from Starter kits with minor details added.
  10. I just finished this Cobra kit from Historic Racing Miniatures. What an incredible resin kit ! The kit went together like a main stream plastic model kit. It was another fun build.
  11. I need another break from the bigger cars & clients 1/43rd's. I do enjoy modifying Hot Wheels. So far you can see the Evergreen plastic additions so far. Next will be the interiors & chassis pans. The wheels are resin that a friend cast for me from master I made. I hope later this year I will be molding & casting these & other parts.
  12. That is some really incredible work, looks great ! I find it interesting that you use a small torch for your soldering.
