Monty Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 I had quite a few of these cars as a kid, but they weren't motorized. What is propelling these cars? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XI9zyhs7u8s
Monty Posted August 10, 2015 Author Posted August 10, 2015 (edited) electricityThanks, Captain Obvious. As I said, these are basically 1/64 non-motorized diecast cars. What is keeping them moving along? Edited August 10, 2015 by Monty

XL500 Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 (edited) I believe the Matchbox Motorway actually had a long spring running through the slots, which hooked onto the cars and dragged them along in place. Now you know where all the NOISE comes from! I acquired one of these sets many years ago in a lot along with HO slot cars that I was purchasing. Couldn't get rid of that thing, show after show! Finally, I just traded it away for something, I don't even recall what. Hardcore Matchbox guys can probably give you a better explanation, maybe try a Matchbox club site? That's all I've got for ya...
