Wicked airbrush paints

Recommended Posts

I have a nice Wicked Red airbrush paint I would like to put on a '58 vette I am building.

Question is, does this paint need to be thinned before use, and if so, with what. Wicked says to use Wicked thinner, but I am no where near anybody that sells it.

Thanks

I have used wicked color's both thinned and straight from the bottle. I prefer straight from the bottle, sometimes I tend to over think the paint leading to a runny situation. You can compensate some for it, it just takes a little getting used too.

Try applying at about 15-18 psi, open the needle up some, and test on some plastic spoons.

I've tried it a couple time with my old airbrush which had a .35mm needle and I had trouble spraying it straight from the bottle, even thinned I had issues with clogging, didnt thin it enough. I've got a new airbrush now, but have yet to try it with the new one. I've got a bunch of colours I'd like to use but havent taken the time to try them lately. Let us know how you make out and what you find works.
