My son had some old models from the '70s, he gave them to me. One of them was a Corvette, molded in white AND red!

It was a post-'67 (not really up on year changes of Vettes) with a pair of molded-in rear skirts.

Box was white with red areas, (might have been MPC) but the Vette was a Bonneville-type 'semi-streamlined', has anybody any idea of what this was?

("Moonliner" rings a bell, but it wasn't anything to do with Dean Moon's stuff)

I traded it off to Bruce Treadwell before his death, he assured me it was rare.

That was the Astro Vette. I had that kit and I built it in my hospital room when I was about 16. It came out between 69 or 70. I think it is kinda rare. It was a concept car Chevy built for showing at auto shows.

Yes, that was it. "Astro". (knew it had something to do with the moon or stars...) Thanks!

This is my Astro Vette. Mine is resin. The MPC model was never reissued and it is very hard to find. Is it complete? built? Do you have it?
