Ahajmano Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 Building a custom 240z. Mixed the color myself, and happy with it. Interior assembled loosly for the photo. Need to correct some of the chrome trim.
Ahajmano Posted February 24, 2019 Author Posted February 24, 2019 Here are some updates with the seatbelts in and everything glued down
Slotto Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 Great interior. You nailed the colors and finish
Ahajmano Posted February 24, 2019 Author Posted February 24, 2019 Thanks guys! Really appreciate it body is almost done as well, so it should turn up in the finished column very soon. Any recommendations on the shifter nob color?
Tommy124 Posted February 25, 2019 Posted February 25, 2019 The seat belts are looking nice. I take it this is the Fujimi kit which, for reasons unknown, has a fully detailed engine but a bonnet molded shut? If so, are you planning on opening it? I did it once but it was an awful lot of work to replicate the engine bay:
Funkychiken Posted February 25, 2019 Posted February 25, 2019 Now that looks sharp, great subject too!
Ahajmano Posted February 25, 2019 Author Posted February 25, 2019 It is indeed a Fujimi Kit, but it is the Devil Z kit from Wangan Midnight. I like the body accessories it cane with, as it looks nearly identical now to a 240z I owned in college with an L28et motor. Even had the intercoolet up front and dark metallic grey exterior. Paint is “crystal palladium” by Mercedes. I out the engine together just so it would be visible from the underbody. I didn’t add any details and left the hood shut. I will probably use an aoshima 240z Kit when I do the engine detailed version.
