Diamond Select Deadpool

Hi guys,

This is my rendition of the Diamond Select Deadpool figure, my first completed kit for more years than I care to remember! Not perfect by any means but I very much enjoyed the build & especially painting.

Out of the box the base includes a large rocket (nosedived into the ground) & two smaller missiles, one of which is under Deadpool's right foot. I wanted to do something a bit different, so I replaced the large rocket with a few selected stones from my garden. Instead of the smaller missile I used the optional kit supplied unmasked head & made my own Wolverine mask, so in my scene Mr.Pool is the victor! The figure was painted with 'The Army Painter' acrylics, the red & shading by airbrush & the rest by the hairy stick method.

The sword blade is covered with chrome tape, & I made the strap on the gun using metal foil (from a coffee can) & wire for the buckles. I also made the scabbards, using thin card. To complete the base it was sprinkled with sieved mud (again from my garden) & then washed/highlighted/airbrushed.
