E St. Kruiser50
Bought an old Mercer '66 Renwall kit, and the wrap around speedster windshield has yellowed with age. Anyone out there dealt with this successfully???? Thanks for any help - dave <img src="http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Edited August 8, 2010 by Treehugger Dave
Brendan
What I've done in the past is to let the sun bleach it. Kind of the same thing you do with old decals. Then I usually put Future over the top of it. It usually doesn't get all the yellow out but it tones it down enough.
GeeBee
Try some Novus plastic polish, worked for me when i have had the same problem in the past
5500
I've had pretty good luck with Mequiar's Ultimate Swirl Remover, when the yellowing is from surface contamination (ie. dusty, moist environments and nicotine stains). Requires very little pressure, and abraisiveness diminishes the longer you work it. Leaves a nice finish.
