krishna.iskandana Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Hi, here's another Jag that I have, an old E-type kit from monogram. I only changed the wheels to Ferrari 365 GTB mesh wheels, the rest of them is oob. The color is Tamiya British Green from tamiya. Let me know what you think and thanks for looking. Regards Krishna Iskandana Perth. WA
MonoPed Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 You made that old kit look pretty nice - not an easy task!
walt francis Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Your XKE is beautiful and I love the wheels on it, I have this one inprogress and it will be the same color
Harry P. Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Good looking model. The paint looks smooth and slick, I like it. I see you changed things up under the hood as far as colors go, but since you used different wheels, I guess this car isn't supposed to be "factory stock"...
Harry P. Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 By the way... those little "side marker lights" between the front wheel and the door (from your photos it looks like you painted them to represent lights)... they're not lights, they're actually the external bonnet latches (under a swing-away cover). They should actually be chrome. Only the first 500 E-Types had these, from car #501 onwards these were moved to the interior, and the bonnet sides there were smooth.
Nick F40 Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 Wow, very nice! Can NEVER go wrong with classic British Racing Green
