maltsr Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 This is the next instalment of my ongoing Thunderbolt saga. The model here is my 3rd attempt at the Hubert Platt car gone wrong . The second paint job using automotive lacquer crazed the plastic, so this was sanded smooth, reprimed and lightly dusted with colour but the 'craziness' still affected the metallic paint. A coat of Testor's Dullcoat solved that and my entry for our club's AFX/Gasser/AWB theme night was born. The engine is from the ModelKing repop of the Dick Brannan Mustang, the front suspension was pirated from the AMT '37 Chevy roadster.
jphillips1970 Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Hey Paul - Looks like your on your way to have a real winner there - The dull coat brings the car alive - Keep us posted on this build - Thanks - Joe
