1964 Thunderbolt

This is the next instalment of my ongoing Thunderbolt saga. The model here is my 3rd attempt at the Hubert Platt car gone wrong :( .

The second paint job using automotive lacquer crazed the plastic, so this was sanded smooth, reprimed and lightly dusted with colour but the 'craziness' still affected the metallic paint. A coat of Testor's Dullcoat solved that and my entry for our club's AFX/Gasser/AWB theme night was born.

The engine is from the ModelKing repop of the Dick Brannan Mustang, the front suspension was pirated from the AMT '37 Chevy roadster.
