Vancouver bound

I will be visiting Vancouver over the Christmas period to see family - are there any hobby shops that I should visit?

I would also like to catch up with any local modellers if possible.

If you are goinf to Vancouver B.C there is a store called magic box hobbys , i go there all the time, nice owners and selection

Only modeler I know from Vancouver or B.C. is Shannon Dumalo(sp) You can also take in a hockey game with the Canucks. Enjoy your trip at Christmas time and be

prepared to see rain and no sun. At least you don't have to shovel rain............LOL

The only hobby shop that i have been to in vancouver that sells cars ( if thats what you want to buy ) is magic box

I already googled it and the first selection was Grand Prix Hobbies which came up as closed in September, so I thought I would ask on the forum.

Hi Paul,

I live in the Vancouver area. There are a few more shops that I would recommend.

Burnaby Hobbies is a great shop with a good selection of Model Cars and tools.

Imperial Hobbies in Richmond has a very large selection of Model Cars.

Here is the real gem though. Cameo Hobbies in Maple Ridge has a massive stock of pre-owned kits and new kits. If you are looking for a kit that has been out of production you may just find it here.

When are you coming? If it works out I would be happy to meet for a coffee and take you on a little Hobby Shop tour. Gee, I may have to pick up a kit or two as well.
