RodneyBad Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 (edited) Here is my Drift build off entry. Testors Isuzu Impulse Turbo.. Taking a page from Mr Zinn on wheels. front wheels are his daily Drivers and the rears are for drifting. 15"inch tires are cheaper to waste than 19"s I Lowered the front about 3"inches, left the rear stock height and added Disc Brakes. Made my own Exhaust tip. Nascar Roll Cage modified to fit. and one more just for the Rising Sun I'm fairly sure these will be the finished wheels. I ended up having to mask and Repaint the white from the front of the doors, all the roof and rear. A first Custom paint job for me and a Finished one to boot. Thanks for looking.. Nick F40 Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 This is freakin awsome! This belongs in Grassroots Motorsports!
Foxer Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Came out looking really good! And have to say again, that paint job is very creative and spectacular!!
chris coller Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 That is one wicked paint job! Great build of an obscure car.
RodneyBad Posted July 12, 2009 Author Posted July 12, 2009 (edited) Thanks all. This is actaully the first Model I have finished in Many years. I have started many tho. The paint job is Different and wasn't all too hard or too easy. Just coming up with a paint theme that would make it stand out against the other Heavy Competition of Great builders in the build off was the hardest part. and I didn't have any Drifter Sponsor decals available. I did get the 2 Watanabe wheels from Mr Zinn Too. Interior pics. Nascar Rollcage sides with the rear strut tower brace and main hoop Cross sections I fabbed up. Converted from Auto Trans to 5spd with a Stick pin for shifter. Shifter boot from parts box Wheel test #1 Edited July 13, 2009 by Zukiholic
