  1. Finished this one couple of days ago. I shot two coats of Mazda automotive paint and two coats of Standox clear. Wheels are resin steelies with 49 hubcaps. Hope you like it.
  2. Thank you for nice comliments fellas Greg, I don't have any sets in stock but I'm planning to cast some. I may drop you a message when I cast them, if you are interested.
  3. Thank you very for kind comments guys. They are all appreciated. Thanks Bart. I haven't built Revell's Samba yet so I don't have a chance to compare. It is not hard lower Hasegawa's Buses. Just cut the front beam into three pieces, narrow it down, place it somewhere higher than its original position, use low profile tires, ant it's done I took some molds of Fuchs' and BRM's sometime ago and casted some sets.
  4. Hi Folks, This one was sitting on my bench for a long time, finally have it finished. The color is Glasurit L456 ruby red ( original vw color ). 2 coats of standox automotive paint was shot, wet sanded and polished. Box stock except for resin fuchs wheels and US bumpers. I hope you like it. MehmetCan
  5. Thanks for kind comments guys Maarten, it is not quite possible to slam an early bug without narrowing its front beam. Have a look this thread. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=247735&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=20
  6. Thanks all. In which sense ? Thanks Tom. It is a 1:18 Bburago.
  7. Thanks. Here are some more shots.
  8. Dave thank you very much for your interest. I have the spares too, I'll copy them if I find time. I'm a big fan of your models by the way
  9. Another old build of mine. I converted YatMing's combi into a panel. YatMing's bus has some poor details. I barely call it a "model". I thought it may look better with some weathering and accessorieses. Here how it looked before modification Roof rack and stuff on it are scratch build.
  10. Hi all. I was busy collecting and modifying diecast models before jumping into plastic model cars. Here is one of my diecast modifications. Color is L11 Pastel Green. Resin Porsche Fuchs wheels. Hope you like it. Before and after
  11. Thanks all. Hakan will be sharing his builds He is quite good at painting I should say. Wheels are from Maisto's VW Fastback diecast model. Minor modifications were made.
  12. Thanks for kind comments. They are all appreciated.
  13. Thanks everyone. Jim, I'm glad you liked it. I painted the emblem.
  14. Thanks for kind comments Thanks for your help Harry. Never tried clay as a mold. I use RTV silicone for my wheels and tires however using clay would be easier and quicker for small parts like door handles.
  15. Thanks for kind commets
  16. A good friend of mine Hakan finished this one a couple of weeks ago. Hope you like it.
  17. Thanks everyone. I'm glad you liked it Thanks Marcos. Yes fender rubbers are usually overlooked. I cut Tamiya masking tape into narrow width pieces and painted them black. Then applied them around the fenders. Thanks Charlie. I couldn't get which part are you talking about. If it is the canvas, I made it out of imitation leather. Thanks Bill. I cut evergreen styrene pieces and glued them to the roof. It is not functional though Thanks Harry. Unfortunately horn grill, right door handle and right running board were missing. Thanks Jason. Yes wheels are from Mustang. It is a nice choice if you don't have any Fuchs, BRMs, Randars or EMPI Sprintstars. I think they quite look like South African Sprintstar which is a very rare wheel. Thanks Luca. Maggiolino Is that how you call beetles in Italy. We call them Vosvos here in Turkey.
  18. That is gorgeous !! Loved everything about it. How did you do the panel and lace paint job ?
  19. Thanks for nice commets. Yes Larry, it is the Tamiya kit.
  20. Another old build of mine. Hope you like it.
  21. Thanks for kind comments, I'm glad you liked it Thanks. Part #11 needs to be shortened. Thanks Rob. I guess they are from AMT's '51 Chevy.
  22. This is an old built that I completed about a year ago. This was my inspiration.
