Hi Scott, sorry to say but my 1:75 models are built all individual and are one offs not available kits. I developed and made everyting from the drawing the 4 wiev drawings to the ready model. Exeptions are only the vakumforming and photo etching. What I wrote about "series production" was meant the chassis and the parts of it. There was only 4 mm difference in lenght between prototype and serie ones. The body upper and lower part, the enterieur and dashboards are all different according the originals.

I beg your pardon Bill. I forgot the scale: it is 1:75 as at all of my Bugatti Royale posts in the last time. You kann check out in my members gallery all the other ones and the following ones in the comeing weeks.

The third body has no interesting story. It is truly specious but rather angular. It seemed nobody liked it. However Bugatti took contact to His Majesty Zogu king of Albania, His Majesty Carol king of Rumania, His Majesty Boris czar of Bulgaria among others. On the other hand no surprise that there was not very much interest to buy such an expensive car. One could bought 3 complete Rolls Royce for the price of a Royale chassis. And a body for them cost about the same summe again. Thanks the series production the build of model was smooth. I got only a little trouble with glasing. I used a liquid superglue which worked fine everywhere without the usually white fogging. But here in the narrow inside of body I got beautifull fogg on the windows. It needed a rather long polish.

Hi Brudda . . . pardon . . . Bruce, The model isn`t any kind of kit. It is 100% scratchbuilt. You can find some further details and story about the build of the models in my earlier posts about Chassis and Tourer and in the coming posts of the other body variants of Royales in the next time posted weekly. Hi Chris, yes it is in 1:75 scale. You can check out the proportion to a 1:24 model in my earlier post about Napolen Coupe built from an Italeri kit.

This was the first body built by Bugatti. As there was some interest shown by XIII. Alfons the king of Spain Bugatti built and introduced a realy royale body named Napoleon for him. But Alfons found it too angular and want a spaciouser body. At least he bought a Rolls Royce. That was cheaper too. Later was the car introduced to pope. Some are using the nickname Pope-car too. The car was renamed Fiacre when Weimann built the wonderfull body for the today known Napoleon Coupe. I exhibited my chassis and Tourer models on an Automodel Exhibition in Budapest. I met there the Harris twins who are one of the most illustrious model makers of Hungary and automuseums owners. They was so nice to allow me to search in the museums library. I found there a photo and side view of the Fiacre in the last minute. Namely the model was soon started but that based on a wrong picture. So I could modify it yet in time.

This is the Fujimi version. I liked the wire wheels and the lot of tiny parts of chassis details.

After the finishing the chassis arose a problem. The factory had no experienced staff and workshop for building such a great body of a car. Ettores solution: he bought a Packard Torpedo and mounted the body parts on the Bugatti chassis. Ettore was driven the car criss-cross the european countries one year long. It was a realy enduring test and a good occassion onto the publicity. I had a problem with build bodies and the series production of the models too. At least I was lucky to find a company to vacuumform the body parts and an other one for making photoetching of small metal parts windscreen frames, steering wheel, bars for controlling the carburator, dashboard, the side panels of engine compartment, the parts of elephant figure, etc. I airbrushed the models with an automotiv lacquer Neolux, 80% black and 20% transparent blue. It made a deep and cold night black what I liked so much.

Ettore Bugatti want to build a never seen luxury car for kings and monarches of the word. The chassis was mounted with a 14.7 litre engine and with 4 different bodies to show for monarches and the pope in the following years. Bugatti planed to build 25 units but at least there was only 6 chassis built. By the other hand there was all 25 engines produced. The unecessary engines were built in rail-buses of the french railway company. Inspired by the Napoleon Coupe kit and a nicely detailed fire truck by Marx in 1:87 seen on a toys exhibiton I belived I can build Royale chassis in my scale 1:75. First I prepared the blueprints and reduced to scale. In the mean time I had in my mind already to build all body variants so I made master pieces for casting the parts with resin. I used a two component epoxy putty for casting. The other parts are made of different wires and thin sheet copper and polistyrene. Bugatti fans be tuned - I shall post the different models on weekly base.

The Ferrari California was introduced in Paris Motor Show 2008. In opinion of some enthusiasts it isn`t a realy Ferrari it has only 8 cylinder. On the other hand there are a lot of technical solutions came from F-1 and the car gives a fine mixture of sportiness, luxury and comfort. The model was built from a Revell kit. The engine is full wired and plumbed and the enterieur is detailed with scratch built safety belts, ignition key with Ferrari keyholder, navigation-screen picture and highlighted the switches.

The model is in 1:24 scale and it`s a curbside one. I highlighted the bottom of car by some painting only. (sorry, it seemed I can`t attach any photo here) The really "frog eyed" car was the Austin-Healy Sprite.

„Handsome on the boulvard, speedy on the open road „ read the brochure for the TR 2 in the USA in 1954. The car was a success in Europe soon but the success was realy big in USA. The production was hardly able to satisfy the claims. The model was built from a Gunze Sangyo kit nearly OOB. There was altered the screenwiper to lay on „glas”, the dashboard covered with oak micro-veneer, some switches are added and doors are opened. I changed the construction of door hinges – so is the door move more similar to the real one.

Many thanks for nice comments and informations. In some weeks I can begin to post the models of my Bugatti Royale variants in 1:75 scale

The car was introduced on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the company. There were built only 349. The model was built from a Revell kit. The kit came to the shop shelves on the same day as the car was introduced. Revell worked on kit parallel with the factory works on the real car ! So the instuction sheet is entiteld as „FERRARI F-130” The kit is originally with Hardtop but I want to have a Barchetta for sunny days – so I scratchbuilt the necessary element and rollbars.

There is a diecast Bugatti Veyron 1:24 made by Speedy in China since about a year. It is rather cheaper as the mentioned 160 USD and available on Ebay at 1- 2 Seller. The model is nice, the quality is about Maisto but a bit expensiver.

Dragline: The kit is made by Heller. Thanks for nice comment.

The 365 GTB 4 was introduced officialy in 1968 after the victory 1-2-3 at Daytona 24 hours race in 1967. In the era of mid-engined sportcars as „modern” built Enzo Ferrari a front-engined car that was „the best sports car in the world” declared Road & Track in its first road test. I built the model from a Fujimi kit. The engine compartment is wired and plumbed. The side window is cuted out for better visibility of the enterieur.
