The little roadster winns one of the greatest race in Germany in the same year and was followed by more than two hundred other victories including the Le Mans 24 hours in 1939 in its category. The model was built from a Heller kit. It is OOB only the dashbord had to be scratchbuilt because I lost the original plastic piece. But then I completed the dashboard with all of switches and instruments.

This Grand Sport was designed by Jean Bugatti with his typical sweeping fender and a tilted windscreen an early effort to streamline a car. The model was built from a Heller kit. I wired and plumbed the engine and made foldable the hood. I didn`t prepared hinges a plastic tape is enough flexible.

Many thanks for info and link. I checked the site - fantastic - highest professionality ! If I see such models I see how much could/should I be better in modeling - but I`m not. (sorry for poor english)

sjordan2: sorry I didn`t built this kit but I have the Weinberger (Victoria) Cabriolet and the Berline Double Voyage in 1:24 scale on my shelves. They are waiting since more years. I have still not enough fortitude for such great projekts.

Harry: ... microscope ? No and yes ! No microscope used of course but I work under a magnifier integrated in a lamp. (my eyes are not the old ones – they are old soon) As Charlie asked for more pictures of the small model I have a question: I made all of the eleven body variations of Bugatti Royale in the same scale ever built by different coachbuilders. Do you mean I should post them all here in this forum ? All together in one post (would be nearly 100 photos) or separatelly with short story ? BTW you can check out my earlier models 1960 – 1992 in this scale at www.planetdiecast – log in – Site Map – Catalog – Famous Toymakers – search for Janos Velics.

The serie T 41 was built for kings but no one bought one of tham. The Napoleon coupes body was built by Weimann for the Bugatti family on the shortened chassis of the prototype after that the original was destroyed in an accident by Ettore Bugatti. The model was built from an Italeri kit. I made the hood removable to show the engine and covered the dashboard with mahagony veneer. I painted this car with an automotiv lacquer. The last two photos are showing the 1:24 model with its little brother scale 1: 75 built from about 150 parts - all scratchbuilt.

The M1 was projected with racing in groupe 5 in mind. According the regulations have been built not less than 400 pc and so would be the BMW M1 the first mass produced mid-engine car. It was not a successful racecar but a normal car, but normal at a higher speed than other cars said Mr Neerpasch the father of the project. It was my first model built from a plastic ESCI - kit. I got it as a gift with glue but there was no modeling store in our neighbourhood. So I painted it with a normal lacquer mixt with some gold metal powder.

This is the first New Era rear engine dragster built by Don. Garlits got accustomed in a dozen runs the new car only the lack of sound took longer. The model is built from an AMT kit. Some cables and plumbing added. Little accident happened on rear wing: I tryed to wipe the fingerprints from chrom but the chrom began to disappear ! So I painted color strips on the damaged area

The Mythos was introduced in Tokyo Motor Show and received the car Design Award in 1990. The car based on the serie Testarossa. First came out as barchetta (little boat) but later got a hardtop too. I built the model from a Revell kit. It was my first attempt to open doors on a model to get better visibility of enterieur. I completed the engine with full wiring, some tubing and made scratch built headlights.

I read somewhere that Sylvester Stallone bought this car but I couldn`t find any confirmation. Is this true ? So much is sure: the car in the film was NOT the concept car.

The Pontiac Banshee was a styling study for a future Firebird. Ironically it didn`t been reality only a few styling elements can be seen on the 1993 Firebird . The model was built from a Revell kit. The use of some putty was necessary at the rear panel and in the interior at the complicate formed dashbord area at poor fits and gaps. Headlights and wiring/ plumbing on engine are added all are nearly invisible. What a waste of time, energy and material could say one but we know it`s a great joy to make !

Many thanks for the nice coments ! I`m happy to see that you enjoye this auto/model as I do after more years till today too.

The openable doors are made by me. The kit was with closed doors and the wheels are from kit .

The Pontiac Club de Mer was built for the 1956 GM Motorama. The body was made of aluminium, a Pontiac V8 engine worked with a transaxle transmission and has been driven extensively for different tests. A ¼ scale model was paralell built and this exists today while the car was scrapped in 1958. The model was built from a Revell kit. I completed the model with inside wheelhouses made from plastic cafecups. The paint job is light blue metalic, the interior and inside of wheel arches vermilion.

Many thanks for the nice comments. I beg your pardon I was not enought accurate: the kit is a Jo-Han 1:25 curbside kit. The other Jo-Han kit I think is 1:18. As I saw a pic of a ready model made from that kit I hasitated long to open the hood and install a scratchbuilt engine. I collected ref. pictures of engine and engine bay but I saw I shall need to make a subframe behind the dashboard and the place is too narrow there ... So I didn`t dare start - I`m not very experienced in such works. Shardic and Dominic: sorry I have no photos about the door hinges in progress. I shall check how much can I catch with camera.

The Crysler Turbine cars were made from 1962-1964. Bodies were made by Ghia in Turin, Italy the result: the most beautifull turbine car built ever. It was the first and only consumer test ever conducted of gas turbine-powered cars. 55 units built totally few remaind in museums and collection todays. The model built from a Jo Han kit. Some addition inside/outside: pedals, shifters, scratchbuilt headlights made of separat reflector and glas and it was my first attempt to use BMF. The paint is on a dark brawn base a breath of bronze metallic, than similarly thin red perlescent and a main coat of orange perlescent and at last clear coated more times.

Thank you for the nice opinions ! - midnightprowler: You have right ! That time when I built the model I had no BMF and later I didn`t dare to to try it on this model without any practice. Perhaps I shall do it some day.
