  1. Thanks for the tips Tony. I am going to focus on the engine this weekend and get that built up with plenty of detailing. I would like to prime the body/frame also weather permitting.
  2. Very nice build. It has the perfect look!
  3. I used sheet styrene for the base, square tube for the upright with a smaller square tube to fit inside. For the top I just used c channel. The handles are paper clip cut and bent.
  4. I thought I would throw together a set of jack stands for fun today. I think they turned out ok and they work too!
  5. Very cool Tony! Did you chop it at all? Also wondering about the windshield. Did you have to modify it to open?
  6. Is anybody from here going to attend this show? I am thinking of driving down to check it out. Only 45 minute drive and I have never been to a show before so I am kind of excited. Just wondering what to expect and debating on putting some of my builds in the show. I have never done that before
  7. Very nice job on the Torino. I especially like the color, it works well with the white stripe. Good, clean build.
  8. I would like to share the rest of my builds that I have done in the past few years. I just got back into the hobby about two years ago and have taken a few short breaks in between for work travels. These will be in order from my first to my most recent besides the 57 chevy and 69 nova I have already posted. Thanks for looking
  9. I did a little mock up today and filled in the seam around the firewall/cowl. I am using wide white slicks in the back from the AMT parts pack instead of the slicks from the kit. Going to try for primer tonight or tomorrow am depending on weather. Thanks for following and if anyone has built one of these feel free to post pics on this topic for inspiration
  10. I don't believe the Copo wore the SS badges either, but I was saving the other grill and rear panel for another project so I opted for the SS pieces. This kit does come with the dog dish caps and Red line decals which turned out really nice IMO. For the brake/fuel lines I used 28 gauge craft wire which is metal and easy to bend and retain its shape. I used small needle nose and tweezers for the bends.
  11. Thanks for all the great comments everyone! As far as colors for this build I started with Color Place grey primer then the purple was Model Master Ultraviolet pearl and the white was Testors one coat white lightning. Clear was Testors one coat wet look.
  12. Thanks for the comments guys! The color is Testors hugger orange with testors clear laquer wet sanded and polished out. I will post more builds in the future so keep your eyes open. I am looking forward to seeing more great builds on here by everyone else also.
  13. This is a '69 Copo Nova I completed a few months back. I just started posting here so I wanted to share some of my builds. Enjoy
  14. I am going to build this "T" from the AMT reissue. My intentions are to build it as a traditional hot rod. This will be my first wip posted here so any comments and suggestions are appreciated.
  15. Here are a few more
  16. This is my first time posting to this forum after reading it for quite some time. I thought I would get in on the action and show some of my completed builds and hope to post some current projects in the future as I go. Here is a 1957 Chevy Belair I just finished up the other night. Any comments good or bad would be much appreciated. Thanks for looking
