I have had this suregery myself. And the difference before and after is well worth it in my honest opinion. I was up and moving about just hours after surgery. Didnt use painkillers either afterwards. The only thing my doctor instructed med to, was not to lift anything heavy for the first week, and move about.

Started the rear suspension this weekend. The stock items didnt do anything for the car, so I figured I needed to make something. And this is what I ended up with. And as the front it is going to be fully adjustable, both ridehight and struts and with the tires The hardes part was to make 4 identical parts... Will start painting all these little parts also soon, really looking forward to that.

Havent done much lately on my 06 camaro. Only thing im tackling atm is the suspension. The detail, or rather lack of detail, on the Jada set is poor... So I have taken upon myself to build my first working suspension. Will be good for those back-country roads as well to be able to lift the car a bit. The body of this shocks are threaded, so these are fully adjustable. And static is way better than air...

been playing wow since october 2005..... and the occational Diablo. Been hardcore wow-player with average 4 nights a week, but that does not compute with wife, kids and work anymore. So kind of quit it. Only play on my ps2 and building models atm.

any update for the srt-10 Ram? -
Anyone knows if the Dodge Ram SRT-10, 2003 ->, has been made as a plastickit? Only ones I have found is the VTS from 95-98... And that is not quite what I have in mind... Prefferably in 1:24 scale

3-D Printing is now affordable
Janthlie replied to Darren B's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
And with 3d scanners begining to become cheap as well, the design will become more easy as well. At 123DCatch you can upload normal pictures, 20-40 of the subject, and get a 3d rendering you can use. So designwise its getting a lot easier too. You dont need to have superskillz in 3d modeling anymore to get good models for 3d printing. -
I have tried Tamiya`s putty, but it smells a lot, and since my kids is in the same room as my modelbuilding now, I need another putty that doesn`t smell that much. Can someone recommend one that doesn`t smell?

I have started to testfit the engine and surrounding bits and pices under the hood building the headers, not too much space her.. and then most of the parts installed. Need to put in the intakepipe and filters. Radiator is going into the back of the car.

What Airbrush to choose
Janthlie replied to Janthlie's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I know about ebay, the biggest problem there is that mostly they are 110-120V, but we use 220-240 V in Norway, and the prices on ebay.co.uk, and ebay.de are a bit higher than in the US. but looking for bargains anyway, Im in no hurry to buy right now. -
This build is coming along slowly, but have been working a bit on it. Have gotten the rooftiles on, and trim around windosw and roof. Just needs some paint now. Will be starting on the port and doors soon. thinking about making the front door motorized also. Since I already have 6v installed in the model. Should be a 6v motor some where that isnt going too fast and that can be geard correcly..

What Airbrush to choose
Janthlie replied to Janthlie's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Thanks for all the feedback, its much appreciated! Now I just have to decide... -
Hi, I want to step up to an airbrush system, but having a hard time choosing what to buy. I need not only the airbrush itself, but also a compressor and all the little bits and pieces to go. Is there some nice kits out there? What is the recommended pressure? How much airflow from the compressor (is 23 litre/min good enough?) To my understanding a dual action is the best choice, but it seems to me that it can be hard to make a consistent spray, giving you can regulate both air and paint. Does any have a set-srew or something that makes me able to adjust the paint-/airflow? Budget is about $2-300 for a complete set (if possible)

I just bought a 6.1 Hemi with the twin EFI intake, and the quality of the parts are very good. Im going to use this for a twin turbo set up for my Camaro The kn filters will be bolted directly to the turbos and was a perfect fit. Need to build the headers and exhaust, but those would have been customparts anyway to make them fit the build/car this is going into. Shipping was fast and cheap even the long way up to Norway

Thanks for the nice comments The downlights are inserted into some small brassholders ususally used to make small holes in fabrics. the inside lights are made of a box of balsawood and the small side of cd-covers to have some texture to the surface. Not clearly visable on the picture, but you can see it loosly attached on the two right ones. Then painted in a dark silver/metal finish. I tried to use fibre optics for this, but they gave too little light. I ended up installing 2 LED in each lamp.
-
This is taking time.. alot of other things to mess around with. But have gotten the downlights working, and the lights in the ceiling. Time for a little barbeque Need to line up the lights properly though...
-
I have now painted the basecolour of red. The trim around windows, door and front door will be white. The downlights above the door is also getting there a bit of soldering left and one of the 9 lights that is going inside the garage it is quite rough here, but it will be smoothed out and get fiber optics installed.

I have done some work lately, but its a slow progress. Too few hours in the days... But have gotten some work done now, and most of the structure is finished. And I have bought almost all I need for lighting and interior. Are going to do the rest of the roof this week, but have a hard time figuring out what to do with the tiles on the roof. Have tried to search for it, but havent found any. does anyone of you know where it can be bought. Either as tiles, sheets, plastic or some other material? Or do I need to make them my self? I mean tiles like this

Hi all, Im new to this site, and after browsing this site and others I found the inspiration to finally start my own dio of a garage. I have hade my cars for a while now, but just having them sit there without a background or something was just not doing it for me. So I started to think about what to build, went through gas stations, diners etc. and couldn`t decide... But ended up with a garage. The garage will be a replica of a real garage that is sitting in my neighbourhood. The dimensions of the garage in RL is 8,2 m long, 6,6m wide, the front door is 5m so its quite big, The plan is to fit a workbench in the back, a lift, motormounts etc. And another car in the back as a work in progress. These are the pictures so far: And this is what it is going to look like when its finished
